Re: OH LAWD, IT'S COMIN'. OH LAWD.

They're obviously not talking about analogue/digital hybrid, because that has a long history from the TR-909 to the Volca Beats.

So what can this also run on? Coal? Petrol? Human rear exhaust?

Re: NHD

I personally like the harmoniums on which you need to pump air with your feet while blasting some tune on the keyboard. Every household has to have one. Those are extremely expensive where I live, even ones with problems. Same with big home organs. And pianos. They usually run $400-1000, and that s...

Re: NGD: Squier Classic Vibe Mustang

The fingerboard on mine looked dry as well. However, it was not. Just looks like that, actually felt oily and has some sort of lacquer or something. Also, yours is not white, it's really blue. The white ones look like coffee with tons of cream. I know it's not really blue, but it's what the manufact...

Re: Synths...EBM/industrial/synthwave/retrowave/coldwave

That's super cool you got that ARP as a gift. But I would say the best synth for learning synthesis is the original Mini Brute. The layout is extremely logical on the panel. The MB II has more features, but the layout is not as intuitive, and that patch bay is too complicated. The Micro Brute is sim...

Probably the CV. But I didn't like the CV pickups. The VM pickups are pretty good, but high output.

I like that the VM has a thicker neck, although the fretwork is not as good.

The one on mine looks good. That's all I can say about it, I'm not going to drop chemicals on it and do plastics research.

Re: Donner have made a synth.

I suppose it's like a TB-303 with built-in distortion and delay. They do make good delays at least.

Supposedly contact cleaner is bad for pots, you're supposed to use tuner cleaner. Electronic shops have them.

Re: New Behringer synths

I like that JP-4000 because it looks like an old East European organ. Doesn't really look like a JP-8000 that much. I probably wouldn't get one because I already have several Volcas I don't use much (but would like to) and I'm not a fan of Behringer. Plus that one doesn't have any interconnection be...

Re: PERSPEX DUO SONIC

Interesting. I know there was some plexiglass Musicmaster Bass from the early 70s and some strat from roughly the same period. The strat actually had a transparent neck, unlike the others. Oh, and that weird Beach Boys transparent guitar (wooden neck though).

Re: Fuck the white bullet is 149 black friday

Just found this thread on Squier Talk:

mega thread - Bullet Mustang Mods

That's the most mods to one model I've ever seen in a forum thread. There are some mods that I've thought of that haven't been done there, but there's still a lot of mods there.

Re: gun metal green SG

That kind of reminds me of that SG90 model they made in the late 80s. http://www.vintageandrare.com/uploads/products/36398/1168240/original.jpg They had 24 frets and diamond markers, and also had a one pickup version and various tailpieces and finishes. I vaguely remember an olive drab one, but sear...

Re: which fuzz with the BASS VI?

I thought the playing in the video was excellent, but unfortunately I really didn't like most of the tones. I only liked the very first pedal and the Made by Mike Foxx clone.

Re: new swinger?

This is old news. Unfortunately the search function is still borked so finding the thread is difficult. One question remains in my mind; why the hell was the single-pickup version more expensive than the non-authentic dual pickup version? You kind of answered your own question, because more people ...

Thanks for the heads up, I bought a few entries. Yeah, thanks. I snagged some entries on this and Robert Smith's UltraCure. If I managed to win this, perhaps I'll try to sell it on to get one without a signature... I don't listen to Placebo, so don't care about the signature, I'm sure someone else ...

Re: Cooper FX is no more. But you can get hat tone on cheaply

That kind of sounds like an Otamatone. Yeah, processors are much better if you want to get into more obscure effects like bit crushers, ring modulators, step phasers and so on. Even if you seriously want to get into delays and hook up an expression pedal (although not with that particular unit becau...
