I'm actually probably gonna dew the orange drop if I order the pickups from GFS. it's only $4 for two, and I need new caps anyway, why not get the kind with the most snob appeal?

pickup ideas for the blazer? (new pickguard btw)

http://bestnetworx.com/uploader/files/9/102_0224.jpg So, (IMHO), it's the sexiest thing since sex. I had Jeannie pickguards from ebay make it. came out a'right. However, I hate every humbucker I own. since this is my only humbucker spaced guitar I need to make some important decisions....it makes i...

IMPORTANT OBSERVATION - the guitar is actually reverse-offset. I can see now why it looks a little awkward. In your original design, the two contours were just about even, but the upper horn sort of migrated the contour behind the bottom.

I have to agree with malik here, sometimes you don't want a guitar that has lots of sustain. I think the bolt on neck design, lacking sustain or not is a huge part of the "fender" sound. Of course when it all comes down to it at the end of the day, just play the goddamn guitar. That's not...

Eh, overpriced for what it is IMO. It's basically just a 4 track digital recorder with a primative interface and features.

I'd go with a micro br for $180 less

Malik, do you even know how guitars are built? let me try to break this down for you. Wood has grain. at least unfinished wood that's going to be on the heel of a neck and the neck cavity. The glue will get into some of those grains that a bolt on won't quite do anything about. Also, no well built g...

I didn't know it was a good idea to use latex based paint on guitars....

Robroe, myself, Shad, Sloan, Aug, Timhulio, etc the list goes on and on. Sure there's periods of time between mass purchasing, and many things sold in the process, but there's quite a few avid collectors on here, which is to say to a degree that most people would consider a little overkill.

What color pickguard for my blazer?

Pretty soon I think I'm going to get a new pickguard made by my shop's guitar tech for the blazer.....I think I decided the new pickup configuration will be 2 hum-sized p90s in the mid/neck and a bluesbucker in the bridge. Each pickup with its own on/off switch and a coil tap for the bluesbucker. Bu...

It annoys me when people spend more time and effort planning their next gear purchase than they actually spend PLAYING THE GUITAR AND IMPROVING AS A MUSICIAN. But whatever. Doog is living proof that if you spend time playing the guitar and improving as a musician, your friends will plan (and make) ...
