i don't have enough experience with oils and rubbed finishes. im sure there is some sort of tutorial thing. it may even be worthwhile to look at how gun stocks are done with oil since its the same process and i know that is a big thing, around here anyway.

there is a fella on the nirvana gear page on facebook that is trying to argue with me about "tone woods" on a mustang. i already quoted Bennedetto(sp) who, of course was quoted to saying something to the effect of, "on a solid body guitar the wood has no bearing on tone or sound"...

doog said it. get a nice fine file and run it along the edge of the neck. its more common with rosewood fretboards as they have a tendency to shrink or expand with age and climate conditions.

but there were 3 different scales for the jagmaster werent there? i thought the first run was shortscale, the second run was full scale and the most recent was like 24.75 or so. I could be wrong. its been so freaking long since i have really studied all of this stuff.

when i was in school ten years ago or so my teacher was talking about how rosewood was not going to be an option in 20 years and it would all be old stock or stuff that is pulled from lakes. Its a shame. i just sold my brazillian bookmatched set for a parlor sized guitar to a local fella, i wish i h...

my advice is the "long haul" advice. get yourself a router, learn to use it on scraps. look up some how to videos and do it that way. where are you located? i would be willing to send you humbucker body and pickguard templates to ease the pain of trying to make your own or paying an arm an...

i mocked up the neck against an old strat body, altho it does match up to a 25.5 its a 22 fret and the intonation would be way off. I could have sworn that fender had a conversion scale, or squire did at some point. just couldn't remember if it was up or down.
