Re: BASSBREAKER

it feeds back in a really specific way which he hasn't been able to recreate whenever he's had to use a different rig. Enjoy! I can relate to that. My classic player strat has this magic sweet spot for feedback on the neck pickup that any other guitar I’ve owned/played doesn’t have. It desperately ...

Re: BASSBREAKER

They’ve definitely got that Marshall-ish flavour too them. Kinda like the way they look. I nearly brought the small head they did in them until I found the Marshall origin 20 head.

Still pissed my ex-bandmates for convincing me to get rid of my JTM45 and go back to the Dual Terror.

Re: pictures of your gear here

Thanks Thom, I’ll check that video out. Bloody love univibes and that pedal show. Todays rig is called “the idiot that sold his pedal power supply and can now only power one pedal at a time” Stupidly of all the gear I had to sell to keep us afloat, I should have at least kept my trex fuel tank jr. I...

How you finding the thorpy vibe? Keep seeing that and the pedal pawn vibe getting lots of love at the moment. Does it do that trower/gilmour throb?

Re: That Pedal Show with Mike Vennart, Fredric Effects Green Russian

That bandname cropped up to me on IG the other day I think; the track's pretty damn good, so sick for your mate! I only really know of Oceansize as a band that covered Cardiacs; I really should check 'em out proper as everyone I know who's a fan is generally a person of taste (Proggie aside 😉) The ...

That Pedal Show with Mike Vennart, Fredric Effects Green Russian

Just watching this as I bloody love Oceansize.

I spy one of Tim’s green Russians on there. It sounds fucking glorious, just straight into an orange half stack.

Might have to try a big muff, never owned/played one.

Re: pictures of your gear here

If I’ve managed to do this right, they’re should be a picture of my pedalboard from the last time I tried to assemble one. Most of the time i just plug straight into my little Marshall MG10, which for being the cheapest combo they do, sounds bloody good for home use. The power supply i used to have...

Re: pictures of your gear here

It's well worth picking up an expression pedal for the M5. Reeeally opens it up. There're cheap ones that can be easily modded to work with it: http://www.shortscale.org/viewtopic.php?p=1426997&hilit=nektar#p1426997 I had an M5 around 2015 and sure I kept the expression pedal I brought with it....

Re: Belated NGD: East Coast T1

Looks tidy! And almost a dead ringer for the Baja. I don't think I've come across East Coast guitars before. That’s what I thought, near as I can get for now. They’ve been around for a few years, mainly cheap copies of teles/strats. Some have some nice upgrades like a neck p90 on the teles. Think m...

Belated NGD: East Coast T1

As some might of been aware, I used to have Mike’s old baja tele. A guitar I loved and was my main ride until I got lost in custom shop strats. I lent the baja to a relative of my late previous partner as they were in need. When I moved on and met my wife etc, I tried to retrieve the guitar and was ...

Re: New Pedalboard lfg

Wished I’d kept hold of my danelectro chicken salad, they are a photocell vibe that sound great for the money/size. They go for silly money now, same with it’s bigger cool cat version. I’ve not had a pedal board setup for years and miss playing around with sounds/tones. I picked up a line 6 M5 for £...

Re: Moskyaudio Golden Horse: Cheap Mini Klon Centaur

Wish they’d make a knock off of the Hendrix silicon fuzz face, always seem to find germanium ones not silicon. It's your lucky day, champ: http://www.effects-pedals.info/p/mosky-audio-fuzz-distortion/ Oooooo that doesn’t look half bad, though hoping it’s got some volume boost to it when engaged. I ...

Any verdicts on the squire sonic mustangs?

Anyone played or owned one? They look quite tempting at £149, not fussed on a trem as I never use it anyway. I known hurb has been modding his HH squire mustang to great effect, are these SS ones similar build quality etc? Doubt I’ll be able to find a Japanese Dakota red for cheaps, so this might sc...

I used to have one of these, great little guitar. Lovely sound, surprisingly full for a small acoustic. It was nice for messing around with different tunings.

Re: Moskyaudio Golden Horse: Cheap Mini Klon Centaur

I’ve had a golden horse for a few years now, lovely little pedal. I’ll never be able to compare it to a real klon and not really bothered how close it is to one. I used to use it for an always on base sound when I used my origin 20 at home, because to get any gain out of the origin it has to be stup...

Re: Marshall JTM Studio

I miss my JTM45. That thing was spine tingling good…..if you can crank it up. This sounds like the perfect solution.

Though most of my playing these days is done through an MG10 combo that sounds surprisingly good on its drive channel.

Re: A Slightly oops NPD: Line 6 M13

So I’ve actually managed to play with this for a bit. I’ve been off work for the past month as I had a meltdown after a bad job and needed to get my head together. The drive section is pretty good, tube driver especially. So sorry to hear that, but glad you've been able to address this with some ti...

Re: A Slightly oops NPD: Line 6 M13

Thanks for the kind responses, it’s a place I’d never thought I’d be in. Always been the strong one that nothing tends to phase, but after the past 3 years (miscarriages, fatherhood, wife’s health, covid, work) it had gotten to the point where I just snapped at home one day and experienced my first pan...
