Ought to point out that the above was a bit of lie. No 'paulk1' mods for me.

Played it at band practice today. First time nice and loud. Sounded great.

It's a great guitar, and I play it a lot. I have modded it a bit further though. Binding on the neck, and a nice Custom Shop 'Fender' decal on the headstock.

hmm.. i've been thinking about replacing the pickups in the Squire Mascis Jazzmaster i'm (90%) likely to get pretty soon. It'd be a shame to do that immediately after buying. They're not necessarily to everyone's idea of what a Jazzmaster sound 'should' be, but I like the pickups on mine. Replacing...

I have the 2x10 VC30. Haven't had a chance to gig it, but from what I can tell from limited use, the clean and drive channels are great. Bought an ex display model from GAK.

oh wow. needs white witch hats, i think, but the guitar looks great. ace photo, G. This, white witchhats. Yeah, a very good suggestion. White witchhats would probably look nicer all round, but I still prefer these to the stock ones. I've spent more than I probably should have modding guitars in the...

Barely had it a day, but couldn't resist a little tweak. Witch hats left over from the Jagmaster project to replace the stock knobs.

Well, it's arrived now.

Nicely set up out of the box. Early impressions of course, but the neck feels great. Pickups perfectly matched.

It would actually look better if both pickups had mounting rings, rather than the bridge all on its own.

First guitar - Epiphone Les Paul Special II http://www.epiphonelespaul.org/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/epiphone%20les%20paul%20guitar-333701505091285420.jpg Super cheap, but good fun at the time. A friend had one too. Within the first few months, one of the pickups just fell out. Mine's been sitting ...

Ordered one today. Bit hesitant about buying a guitar online, but the price was substantially better than buying instore.

A Google search for this guitar comes up with an Offset Guitars thread... complete with a "This site may harm your computer" warning.

Anyone reckon it'll come down in price by a fraction within a couple of months of release? Unsure whether to go for it now or wait. Can't remember whether the CVs did or not.

Sold now.

The chap who bought the guitar wasn't fussed about trying it out first. "What I like about it", he said, "is that it's like the one Kurt Cobain used to play".

They had one in Gamlins, Cardiff today. Generally avoid the place, since it's staffed by morons. That said, the guitar was great. I'm no Jazzmaster expert, but the pickups sounds good. Neck was amazing. Not as thick as my Baja by any means, but felt satisfying. Didn't get to try the trem ("The ...

Yeah, they're nice songs. I like Gareth's voice. The drums could be a bit more prominent.

I personally really like my tweaked MBM clone (tweaked tone control, boost before distortion side)- it's a really ballsy pedal for doing guitar overdubs and works fantastically on bass, as the low end content is brillz. Here's a handycam video I did with the original clone Mike lent me, sounding ra...

yeah, the jumbo sized pic they got there looks like real anodized aluminum. Also, those look like adjustable poles on the pickup there. so definitely not getting your vintage tonz on with these. probably something more similar to the classic player jazzmaster pickups. MSRP is $599 which is the same...
