I've got a soldering iron I can borrow for this, but if it goes well I'll definitely be buying one. One thing I did wonder about this diagram you posted before, was will it definitely make a seperate volume for each pickup, not just two master volumes? EDIT: And I'm guessing this is how the guitar i...

Yeah I'll try and do a neater job than that seen as this is my main guitar. I wouldn't say I knew what I was doing, but this mate of mine knows enough about electronics to do something like that. This Strat of his seems to be going pretty well. I'm gonna get him to help with this project because I w...

Jagmaster Mods
A friend of mine is modding a cheapo Strat copy at the moment. He told me about it today and we ended up talking about some mods we could potentially do to my Jagmaster if his Strat modding goes well. It won't be until I've bought myself a tube amp, but I'd like to know where I need to get the parts...

all of the valvetronix stuff is, for lack of a better description, total shit . Absolute bollocks. I owned an AD50VT and I still miss it for practise and recording, which it was fantastic at. The Fender and Vox models were dead on. It just couldn't compete with a drummer. And bramble - they also us...

high gain version? explain? i have an ad100vt. it's alright when i need it. managed to get a good sound from it so i'm not complaining. would like to upgrade but can never find the capital for it. Basically instead of the AC15 emulator etc... it has lots of amp models with heavier distortion. It wa...

I've had one for about a year and a half. I liked it when I bought it but now I kind of hate it, except maybe at bedroom volumes. I did buy the 'high gain' version though (WHY????), a friend of mine has the non-high gain version of mine and it sounds a bit better, but still not great. I think the wh...

I'm pretty sure my cousin used to have that guitar, and I actually liked it at the time (I was about 8 ). Don't remember the HATE inlay though... He probably had a non-Mick Thompson BC Rich warlock, they've been around as a design much longer than Slip knot and in many different configs My ex-g/f h...

I was much happier before I knew what I wanted and all I cared about was it being loud and distorted. Ignorance is bliss. This. I remember hours of fun sat playing through a Marshall MG with the gain on full. Since I started to find out what sounds good, and how I want to sound, I don't think I've ...

I'm having to use only three for a gig tonight, seen as I don't have a power supply and for some reason I only have three 9v adaptors. I think I could get by all the time with just the ones I've chosen (I'll be adding more in as soon as I get a power supply though). It goes Overdrive, Fuzz and Delay...

if the impedance matches, I wouldn't see the harm in doing this. PA speakers are designed to cover a wider frequency range than guitar speakers which incidentally, includes the guitar's range. So eventhough it may not be optimal, it should still sound better than blasting a fart in a Radio-Shack mi...
