Re: How hard is it to paint a guitar with poly?
plopswagon wrote: ↑Wed Nov 29, 2023 3:28 pm I do thing the decals have to be topcoated with nitro because they react badly to poly.
This may no longer be a thing.
I think that stopped in the early 80s - but would still be an issue if using old style decals I suppose.

Re: How hard is it to paint a guitar with poly?
I don’t think LPB was ever nitro - pretty sure it was acrylic and only the clear was nitro.

It just one switch I need to replace and then it should be good to go. I’ve ordered the switch, I’m just shit at soldering. If it's not PCB mounted then bring it over and I'll solder it if you like. Otherwise a TV repair man or similar will be able to do it for little money. Literally as pictured, ...

It will still be loud even with an attenuator, but my 18 watt is at least usable at home with it. Have you still got your old attenuator? You could get it fixed. It's worth getting one with treble boost on it, they suck a fair amount of treble out of the sound otherwise. It just one switch I need t...

Re: Fender Tonemaster Pro
It worked so well. I felt like a bit of a luddite. I think it depends why you play. If I was a working musician, playing most nights and looking to get a good sound, quickly at venues with lots of variables then I'd use somethiing like a Helix. As a hobby player I use tube amps because I like them.

Just got the P90 put into the Ibanez, custom made locally with no cover, based on the Lollar Melody Maker P90. (also new amp, I like it). It didn’t really fit with my playing, but this may still b...

If I’ve managed to do this right, they’re should be a picture of my pedalboard from the last time I tried to assemble one. Most of the time i just plug straight into my little Marshall MG10, which for being the cheapest combo they do, sounds bloody good for home use. The power supply i used to have...
