Catalinbread Merkin Demo and Review

One of Catalinbread's long time staples. The Merkin flogs a huge range of vintage fuzzy tones.

I got one as a lend for the better part of a week. I ended up giving it make to the guy a few days before I was meant too.

Nah, not a huge fan.

Made by Mike Saltbooster+ demo and review

I was cleaning out some old stuff to hock off on ebay (I'm a poor student, lol) and I realised I never actually made a proper demo of this. Still one of my favourite boost pedals. Sounds better with my Fullerton than any other amp I've tried it with. [youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWIJqExmz...

big user of the od3. love it. need a blues driver in my life too. i imagine they'd stack incredibly well Next time I see Caleb (the guy who owns the BD-2), I'll see if I can nick it for a day and make a clip for you. I get a strange JCM800 feel from the OD3, kinda like it. The other one sounds like...

they sond the same S A M E A M E yr ears need Blaze It badly, shadlet Sounded way better than I was expecting, I'd expect a lot of that is down to your amp. I actually love the BD-2 model on the iPhone amp sim stuff I use, keep meaning to try one in person; seems to do the whole 'Jesus Lizard' mid-...

I'm glad you found it interesting.

I think I'm leaning towards that direction too. The BD-2 won for me in low gain though, I felt it was more clear and articulate.

Boss BD-2 vs OD-3

I've been on a bit of a Boss drive kick lately. I'm really enjoying the sounds I can get with these two. I wanted to see how they could go together in a comparison that was as fair as possible. I feel using a looper like my Ditto X4 is the best way to do this. I'd like to know which pedal everyone t...

My arbitrary demo of the Boss Blues Driver

Who hasn't heard one of these, really?

I had a chance to borrow a few pedals, this was one of them.

Boss DC-3 vs CE-5 controlled comparison (clean)

A bandmate of mine has a couple of old Boss pedals that are out of production knocking about that he let me borrow to make a couple of videos with. I have the current production model of the CE-5 Chorus Ensemble. I wanted to see how it would sound stacked up to the out of production DC-3 Digital Dim...

The colour is definitely one of it's best selling points.

I like it more than my current production CE-5.

Original Boss DC-3 Demo and Review

The frontman of a band I just got hired for has some cool old Boss pedals, he let me borrow this to do a demo of.

It's a pretty great little chorus. I'd love to compare it to the one with the buttons.

TC Electronic Ditto X4 first impressions

This arrived this morning, which I was very, very excited about. What I like: . Sync and serial modes have functionality akin to a Boomerang. Serial works great for verse/chorus progressions, Sync works great for building some pretty epic stuff. . Sound quality is fantastic . Feels sturdy as a tank ...

Fakir Mustache wrote:Sounds good, what pickup do you have in the lead position of your tele?
It's Jamie from The Creamery's interpretation of an original Nocaster pickup.

Just think of a good sounding, vintage style tele pickup.

This little beauty has been on my board since the week I got it. I've gigged it for nearly two years and it never lets me down.

Great pedal.

This is the board I used for the other nights show.
I ran stereo for the first time in forever, with my EB Fullerton 2x10 and the venues Hot Rod Deluxe.
Sounded awesome.
