It would have to be very dark in Margaritaville for that thing not to look like a Wal-mart dumpster on Cinco de Mayo.

When the photo was loading I thought that chair was a cupped hand holding a miniature guitar.

I have several Novaks. I sent him a vintage XII pickup and he created three new ones and wired them into two sets. I like the guy, so I would rather pay him than a big company, given the choice.

Even smaller is the Mandocaster. They are also making reissues for a fraction of the cost.

Clumsy condom machine is a nice lyric, and possibly the chorus. I have a 70s Fender version of this, so I think they nailed it. It looks like it started out mocha, then firemist gold—then shoreline. I am tempted to keep the beat up look, but it bothers me that there is gray primer under the brown ...

Does the card actually change how the pots are connected, or just simulate it? Either way, it seems like it would be in the wrong place. I could see using a loaded pickguard that could swap out the real parts. It would need clips instead of screws. The cards only appeal to me if they could function ...

How is an Esquire done? :) For the life of me I can't find a photo that shows how all that stuff hooks together in an elegant way. Mine looks like I tied a bunch of coat hangers together. I asked on TDPRI and as always heard nothing but urinals flushing. Cap 1 hooks to resistor, then to Cap 2, which...

Fucking Shad wins again. I just stripped a poly this weekend using a heat gun on low and and finished in a half hour. I left the sealer coat because I read that Fullerplast was essentially an early urethane. I don't know the chem, but I have done it several ways and like that the best. I did sand it...

Is the plate a different shape? You'd think they would have all the tooling already made and not have to change it at all. But I guess they have to appear to be innovating.

Could be just an old refin, with a replaced switch. The price would vary between $700-1000. Less worried about old paint than about a Fender A neck. First year Duo II. Too late in the year to be tied to JFK.

I have one of those cheap ones to sell. I would just send it if you weren't in Oceania. I just saw a Bigsby Tele setup for sale on TDPRI. I had been looking for years for one and just got it last month. The one for sale is $100 with all the extras (vs. the $160 it costs new). I bought the F version ...

Did your bro paint it or do the mods? That would have been my first question before we all dog piled. You should tell him not to trade since you will only sell it soon.

Answer: art AND butcher. The advantage of painting is you can always remove it. I like the back.

It's just sitting there waiting for me to wire it up. You'd think it would be top of the list, but I am too focused on a Tele build.
