Re: First song recorded with our current band

Lovely song, Thom. Very 'Hail To The Thief'-era Radiohead vibes, and there's even a Deftones song it reminds me of (driving me insane that I can't remember what song it is). Amazing job on the production for your first go, the recording is kind of unbelievably clean!? Nice one. One thing you could t...

Re: BASSBREAKER

My bandmate uses one of these and it sounds ace. Not sure if it's the Bassbreaker in general, or just his specific amp, but it feeds back in a really specific way which he hasn't been able to recreate whenever he's had to use a different rig. Enjoy!

Re: That Pedal Show with Mike Vennart, Fredric Effects Green Russian

Will stick this on in a bit. My pal Naomi is playing bass in Mike Vennart's new band Empire State Bastard. It's a proper mad lineup, Mike Vennart on guitar, Simon Neil from Biffy Clyro on vocals, Dave Lombardo from Slayer on drums, and then... my mate!? Very sick and very well deserved, just quite m...

Looks tidy! And almost a dead ringer for the Baja.

I don't think I've come across East Coast guitars before.

Clearly you and me are getting the same targeted ads, Rhys.

I'm in a similar boat to Bacchus. I love the concept and I want to love the execution, but I'm not sure it's quite hitting, especially at that price.

Re: WTF Esquire shortbass

Intrigued by a shortscale SG-style bass! I used to have a full-scale Epiphone EB3 and found it pretty unwieldly.

This is a nice score.

I think it's a limited edition colour from like a decade ago. The colour was pretty much the main factor in me buying this, honestly.

Re: Sunn Amps Are Back???

To be fair the solid state prices are reasonable-ish. I think when I first looked I saw the price of the tube heads and immediately closed the window, my bad.

Re: NGD: Iceman ICX120

The pickup ring for the bridge pickup was so huge that my strings were basically touching the pickup if I didn't want insanely high action. The other pickup ring was more sensible, so I got my guitar tech pal to swap the rings and ditch the neck pickup as I basically don't use the neck anyway (only ...

Re: pictures of your gear here

I had a Mooer Pure Octave on my board for 8 or 9 years. It got unreliable towards the end, and then suddenly became really noisy so I replaced it with a TC Electronic Sub'n'Up. But for the first 5 years or so it was solid, definitely worth the £30 or however much I paid.
