This thing couldn't possibly be any more up my alley but I've been spoiled by too many "I picked up a bronco bass for $50-80" stories to ever actually shell out serious cash for one, even if it is just a tort guard away from being my dream bass

I'm sure there's some science behind it but the XII weighing more than the basses blows my mind. it's obviously those extra strings

Thanks for the info on adding the spring hole for the mute. It does look ace, every extra bit of chrome adds a little something divine to a jag

Do you have to drill into the body and pickguard to add the spring for the mute?

Is this not probably in line with what a non refin mustang is now? I thought there was a sharp increase on all things vintage over the last 5 years?

Just the shot above of the unfinished body and the maple board make it look like some insane 70s alternate reality fender where they took the natural finish look they were applying to all the teles and strats and made a jazzmaster like that! I assume you're looking to do some fun color but I'd love ...

I'm a fan of any affordable production model with a big neck and back in the day I was a Radiohead fan so I always wanted to get one of these and stele Plus it with a lace red dually in the bridge and a blue in the neck

I think the metal guard would be fantastic. I'm not into bashing aesthetics, so I'll just say that the blonde/natural telecaster blackguard look is certainly a solid classic, but it's really a joy to see that finish paired with anything a little more daring. I actually liked the natural/tort that it...

My thinking on the new XII is that as cool as an a reproduction of the original bridge would've been, it definitely would've placed these instruments into the top tier blooz lawyer price range. What I'm SUPRISINGLY PLEASED at is that they did take the time to make a surrounding plate for the off the...

Thanks for showing off the sounds. Loved the neck and middle positions every time but thought the bridge didn't really shine until some gain was added but that was just my takeaway. Seems like a wonderful instrument all together

Another vote here for twisted tele pickup. It just seems to have the ability to be brighter and more open and you can always roll the tone off for the traditional tele sound. Some people have said it sounds more strat like and while I wouldn't go that far, it's unquestionably more versatile than the...

It's always interesting how subjective all this stuff can be; the neck is my favorite thing about the Venus! It's cool that you got to try it out at least
