What counts as "mid price" nowadays? £600-£800?

Re: Wiring LEDs
Tried to take pics of the solder points in case there are clues I'm not seeing.
I'm probably going to guess that the red is positive. How likely am I going to blow the pedal up if I'm wrong?

Re: Wiring LEDs
Okay, I did some basic research (hooray for google!) and the "long" side of the LED legs is the positive side. So... which of the black and red wires will be positive? I'm guessing red?

Wiring LEDs
Hello there you knowledgable types. My question is, can you wire an LED the wrong way round? The LEDs I have have a short and a long leg. The pedal I want to wire it into has a black and a red wire. Do I need to worry about this? Or just wire them up however I like? Background: My original POG has a...

Re: Done bought a vox ac30
In case it wasn't clear, no, I wasn't being completely serious about the Greenbacks. My limited and historic experience with them has given me a kneejerk reaction to them whenever they're brought up, and I used that as a jokey way to recommend the only speaker I've ever seriously loved, the Celestio...

Re: Done bought a vox ac30
So you really don't like greenbacks Eric? Haha I think they are too low wattage for the 1x12 anyway from what I've looked into it. I have brought my silverline home from the practice space to have a play about. Firstly to see if I can get it to sound anything like the ac30 (which would kinda make t...

Re: Done bought a vox ac30
Get a greenback Don't do this. Sounds like shit. I don't care what anyone says. We had an anniversary model with two greenbacks that was gifted to my brother by Bernard from New Order. It had a busted transformer, so we thought it sounded shit because of that (for the five minutes it would stay on ...

Sounds like they're charging a premium for stuff that shouldn't be all that special to begin with.
They really are just a switchable Yun mod mode.

What's the deal with Wazacraft stuff? What's different between a stock model and a Wazacraft one?

Re: Filtertron'ed Jazzmaster
Thing I still need to do: Lower those controls. I secured them far too high up, so those knobs are hovering way off the control plate. Secondly, I can't raise the bridge pickup high enough as the screws are secured into the two little recesses you get on either side of a regular humbucker rout. So I...

I haven't bevelled the scratchplate enough yet, nor have I counter sunk the screw holes enough. But here's where it all currently stands.

Re: cutting a pickguard?
Well I have a router and a decent setup, and I even have a bit of ready laminated scratchplate material that I could have used, but I'm wary about using power tools in my new flat at the moment since the flat directly below me has a teeny tiny baby that they appear to be having trouble with in terms...

Re: cutting a pickguard?
So I did the old laminated sheets of styrene plastic again for my current and long-suffering Jazzmaster Filtertron project. 20221006_160548.jpg 20221006_165739.jpg I couldn't get shiny stuff so I'll need to do a fine sanding and polish once I'm done. It's not staying matte. What do you think I am, t...

I thought "CNC Wound" was referring to the soundhole before I spotted the wording on the pickups.

OH LAWD, IT'S COMIN'. OH LAWD.
The Korg Drumlogue is finally coming out. It looks great. Haven't seen a price yet, but if they manage to squeeze it under £400 then it become a must-buy for anyone that does the whole DAWless jamming sort of stuff. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqB7zGHFEqs&ab_channel=Korg Edit: Ooookay, Thoman...
