I'd recommend keeping the springs on and tightening up the claw, even with the block in place- I found taking the springs off my Strat trem kinda killed some of the vibrations and vibe. Sounded much more "alive" rockin' the short curlies plus block. The article I linked to mentions that t...

There's shop on the Oxford Road in Reading that sells second-hand records and instruments. They had an Alesis Microverb II with no PSU, but they dug up a PSU and plugged it in; no sound. I left it. When I got home I looked it up and found that the Microverb II needs a 9V AC PSU and "using a DC ...

Pull the trem up so the plate is flush with the body and wedge a slab of wood between the block in the back (that the springs hook into) and the body.

I've seen worse, i. e. the blue flock-coated Sacred Heart Jesus moneybox they were selling in Paperchase (UK) this Christmas. Or you could buy Mary (pink flock - she's a girl, duh).

Anyway, if the guy gave it to you then what's the point in giving it back? Just keep it or sell it on the 'bay. Well, if he'd been prepared to pay for the repair the money would have gone in my equipment fund. :) If it doesn't go back to him my son keeps it, which means nothing goes in the equipmen...

I think you should find the guy, give him his pedal back and £20 for the fact that it took you two and a half fucking years to do something with it. LOL. Sure. It was going in the bin and my son said "give it to me". It's what they call BER, Beyond Economic Repair. Boss won't give you a ...

Ah, well. Turns out it was about 2 1/2 years ago and Matt hasn't a clue where the guy is, so it now belongs to him. Hmm. I find it a bit subtle compared to my Electric Mistress clone. I reckon we should sell it and split the dosh, but he won't see it that way, will he? ;)

I did last time when you flagged it up, along with a Space Chorus. :) I just noticed it was cheap again, but the Space Chorus isn't :( It's way cheaper than anywhere else if anyone else fancies one. (I was thinking of getting a Rota-machine module and putting it in the Chorus dock, it would give gre...
