Re: Sunn Amps Are Back???
I'd forgotten Fender owned the name. I remember Sunn Mustang guitars from when I was a kid.

It seems that naming pedals after value food labels has been done, and by Josh Scott. Spooky

Re: Rapier Guitars, ie: Alan Entwistle is at it again.
That guitar company owned by "Chappers" and the Andertons bloke make some guitars in the UK. Like NickD says, they're not cheap though (£3.5k). They're also fucking hideous. Pretty sure they're not what Eric had in mind with his "British guitar design aesthetic" :D http://www.ch...

Re: Rapier Guitars, ie: Alan Entwistle is at it again.
It's nice to have British guitar brands coming back. Sure, nothing is actually made here anymore, but at least they have tiny British flags on the headstocks or say "designed in the UK" on them and stuff. (I'm only sort of joking: I do find it very funny that a "British" guitar ...

Re: Nickel Body Resonator (Please help)
Mahogany sucks. Not saying maple wouldn't have snapped, but still mahogany's way too fragile. Try to press it down and see if the fretboard returns to being flat. If the resonator isn't expensive you can try to squirt super glue inside the cracks and clamp it down. However, super glue repairs can b...

Re: Nickel Body Resonator (Please help)
I've fixed worse myself, but it's not a job for the faint hearted. You'll always be able to see it but its definitely repairable. I'd expect a luthier to be $1-200 or so, maybe a bit more depending on how bad the fingerboard damage is.

Re: 2amp rigs with added bass
I had a dream last night that I was playing Hurb’s 2 amp rig, but the only thing that would come out of the speakers was the sub effects. I wonder what that says about my subconscious mind? Was I naked? Of course Presumably with a crossover and some tweeters, you'd be able to hear your conscious mi...

Re: NGD: '96 MIK Epiphone Sorrento
Glad you found this, I believe I bought that casino and it is a beauty! There is definitely so,e thing great with the 90’s Korean Epi’s. Yep, it's your good hands now. I saw that you made some pretty cool mods to it, too. My experience with the Sorrento has made me reconsider Epiphone stuff lately ...

Re: NOAD: Korean Rhino
Love the vibe; these kinda amps always sound WAY better than anyone gives them credit for, namely because they're largely owned by total newbs without the smarts to dial the amp in, or indeed play non-shittily. Dual gains, presence AND an FX loop, ooh la-la; with reverb, this'd be the 'school music...

Re: Project: Player Jaguar in mahogany
Another spooky thing to think about that is probably an old wives tale is to not screw up oily rags and chuck them in a bin. As some oil cure in oxygen, it's an exothermic reaction which will generate heat. If they're screwed up, it can apparently generate enough to begin to smoulder and catch fire...

Re: Guitar woods and tone
I've seen the video and I can't hear a difference, but then I'm listening through a phone so it's hardly conclusive. All I know is my LP and SG are set up the same - including pickup heights. Is it a difference in mass, pickup position, construction, trem vs stop tail? No idea, but they don't sound ...

SG and LP with the same pickups sound different. Hardware, wood, mass, I don’t know, but I don’t think it’s as simplistic as the videos Pens is talking about makes out.

Re: pictures of your gear here
I like it a lot actually. I wasn’t expecting to keep it on my band pedalboard when I bought it but it’s really working for me. It’s one of those pedals I’ve always wanted to try but never did. A few months ago he put out 20 new Honey Bee pedals on the Bearfoot reverb page to celebrate the 20th Anni...
