This guitar looks so awesome! I do kind of like the tort guard idea as well.

remember to invest in some decent patch cables (if you haven't already, that is). no point having a shiny new board and crappy 99p cables. +1 i use the venom patch cables and I've yet to have one die. Would I have to look online for decent patch cables? The only I've seen are in the local guitar sh...

pics? i can't find any and am not familiar with the design.

Doesn't look bad. The headstock is kind of nasty though, and it's essentially a Jazzmaster copy rather than two guitars combined.

I didn't dig Sober Now too much, but Last Night In Town was really awesome! It reminded me in a weird way of a livelier Pavement, not sure if you'll take that as a compliment or not. Either way, well done!

i think the real key is to experiment with two bass players. mclusky Since when? This. On topic, it took me a while to get used to writing two guitar parts when I started my current band, but I now prefer it. We have a couple of songs where Tom plays and I just sing, but mainly I like to have it va...

What's with the paint-job? I don't understand new guitars looking purposefully worn...

And the price is ridiculous.

The problem is if you do TOO much running and jumping you just lose signal. It happened to a friend of mine, and lead guitar cutting out mid-song isn't the best thing that could happen.

As long as you don't jump offstage like him, though, it sounds like a good idea.

I wept tears of joy watching this demo. I didn't know the old pickguards were illegal now though, what were they made out of?

Tinny is good, this could be a cheaper alternative to the DD-3 for me... but yes, tinny won't be great for reverb. Do you mean reverb like in the intro to the Dead Kennedys' Police Truck? That's the best example I can think of.

I measured it with a ruler. If that's to scale the pedal is 18.6cm wide, which means I want it.

On topic, the only use I can ever find for delay pedals is making glitchy loops with the hold function. That doesn't stop me from wanting a DD-3 though.

New strings always make my guitars sound awesome, they just go out of tune really easily which is somewhat of a problem being quite a ham-fisted player. I usually don't leave strings on for longer than a couple of months, but not so long ago my Telecaster had the same set for probably nearly a year....

Would it be possible to put a grill cloth on an amp which doesn't already have one? It would certainly help to brighten up my (currently) all black amplifier. http://www.nzmusician.co.nz/Voxamp.jpg At the moment it looks like this (apart from being the 2x12 version). So what (if anything) would I ha...

i have a dd-3 that i'd be willing to let go Awesome, how much? As long as we don't have to ship overseas I'm definitely interested. EDIT: The GT-OD is really great. With the gain really low you can get a kind of gritty clean sound (obviously you have to turn up output quite a bit). I mainly use it ...

http://www.majhost.com/gallery/freddyv-c/Guitars/ggeeaarr.jpg What I'm currently using for gigs. I realised the distortion and most of the effects on the Valvetronix suck (it was cheap for how loud it is though) so I've bought a GT-OD. Next on the hitlist is a DD-3, but until I get hold of that I'm...

This pedal (well, the Distortion III) and the GT-OD sound pretty much the same. I tried them both out a little while ago when I was buying a new overdrive, and the only difference in sound I noticed was that the GT-OD sounded good with high gain and low gain, whereas the Dist III sounded good with l...
