Youtube Video Lessons

Hey guys, it's been a while since I've posted here but I thought this would be a cool place to share. I've started posting video lessons for the guitar school I teach for. If anyone has suggestions of topics I can cover I'm more ...

I definitely think you could achieve similar results just using your phone and some decent headphones for a fraction of the price.

It's an interesting idea, but I'd be interested to see how it compares to something like the Neural plugins and good in ears.

Yeah, it's not the best audio quality as it's not using IR's or anything, but it sounds generally pretty good. What's nice is that the playback comes through the aux channel via usb.

PRS strat? Yeah I picked it up recently. It's a really nice guitar. There's something about the ergonomics of the body combined with the vintage style neck that sits really well with my playing. Did you get married Gabriel? Yeah! Good spot catching the wedding ring haha. I got married in August, wh...

Apartment Guitar Amp

Recently I moved over to New York, and as such I'm now living in an apartment building. So I needed a little guitar amp I can play at home. I ended up going for a Yamaha THR10C. It's been great, except I wasn't happy with the high gain tones. Eventually I figured out that through using the THR edito...

You don't need a particular guitar to play jazz on. You may need an archtop guitar if you're playing in some kind of vintage tribute band, but generally most guys these days play whatever. I generally play either a strat or a tele deluxe most of the time. I do have an Ibanez AF55 which I bought for ...

I've been playing direct for the past couple of years both practicing and live with IEMs. The best I've heard was using an Axe-fx but not far off was the Positive Grid Bias Amp software. I paid about $50 for it and am using it with a behringher um204hd which was a pretty cheap interface. Also I like...

I've done a bunch of theatre gigs where they use V-drums to trigger a drum plugin on a laptop. Seems to work well most of the time, there will be some latency however which may alter the feel.

I also have a behringer recording interface and it's awesome. I much prefer it to the focusirite saffire pro I used to have, mainly just for the ease of use. I plug it in and it just sounds good. I record all my videos direct into a UMC202HD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rIVgjRRrao[/youtu...

Thanks guys, the bridge pickup is very bright. Usually I back off the tone a little as that tames the high end a little. But the wide range pickups are very interesting for sure.

If ehx made pedals the same size as mooer I think it'd be different. Otherwise I don't think it'll be a huge deal, I imagine Mooer will release a MK III that is still basically the same thing.

Mooer GE300

Depending on the price point this could be very interesting. http://www.premierguitar.com/ext/resources/images/content/2019-01/LNU/Jan19_LNU_Mooer_GE300_WEB.jpg Shenzhen, China (January 15, 2019) -- Mooer will be unveiling a final prototype of a brand-new addition to their series of multi-effects pr...

Mosky Power Supply

Image

Has anyone seen this power supply? It looks to be a clone of the cioks dc5 and for $50 may be worth a punt?

I've got a few mosky pedals and they're really well put together.

I really like these amps. My friend used to have one as his kick around amp for when guitarists came to jam or record at his apartment. They can get pretty loud too, I used it for a fair few gigs.

I've also never had an issue with this when flying with guitars with rosewood boards. I think that's more to do with importing and exporting.

Has it arrived yet? Thoughts on the pups? It arrived yesterday morning, I'm visiting my sister at the moment before I fly out so no chance to play through an amp but through my little vox amplug they sound really cool. Kind of like a telecaster with a lot more bottom end, more scooped sounding then...

The vintage gear market in the UK and the exchange rate with the dollar actually brought the price of this down to $1000 less than the average price on reverb in the states, so was a nice deal in the end. But Benecol is right, I'll be taking this as my hand luggage when I fly over anyway so no need ...

1975 Fender Tele Deluxe

I've been downsizing most of my gear collection as I'm slowly moving over to the states. However I needed at least one humbucker guitar and I wanted something a little different. I picked this up for a pretty good price. 1975 Fender Telecaster Deluxe http://bestnetworx.com/uploader/files/426/s-l1600...
