Knobs look a bit cramped to me from the pic, but everything else is fantastic. Great build!

Shouldn't this be in the Other Guitars forum if it has a full scale neck?

This guy's work is the only reason I go on offset pretty much. I think someone should try to convert him over here to Shortscale. Seems like a real standup guy

IIRC, serfx once put a Jagmaster convert neck on a tele, but with the tele bridge, theres a lot of room for intonation.

Shorter scale, rubbery feeling strings.

Its all in the tension, and its also personal preference.

Cheers

They just feel the most comfortable for me. Anyway, this project is sidelined for now, due to some previously unforseen personal problems. I'll get back to this eventually..

It sucks they have these in a limited run only. It seems like these are gonna sell like hotcakes, and should be in their standard line.

The glue set fine, it came off cause it had a horrible bow, really high action, and my usual HEAVY gauge strings. I'm working on a way to get it all sorted out, hopefully I can get it up and running soon.

Yeah, for me routing is a forstner bit, and this one looked like the cheapest/easiest option.

Also, I put some strings on it today, and the neck was starting to become unglued, so it looks like its gonna be glued and bolted in just for added stability.

Heavier than you would normally use, I've got a 50-105, and the E feels a bit floppy to me, but its all preference. I like my strings to have a really taught feel to them, so maybe I'm just picky

Shouldn't be any problems yea. I have a hotrail in my Bronco bass. The only recommendation I would make is to not have it tooo close to the strings. I had mine pretty close, and when I would hit my low E, it would come into contact with the rails and it was just nasty. Cheers and good luck!

Cheers guys. Local geetar shops don't really care finishing supplies other than the odd scratch filler and stuff. I'll prob just go check out what home depot has. As for the red, I'm not looking for the lighter pinkish fiesta, but almost more towards Hot Rod Red, so I shouldn't have too difficult a ...

The glue is doing a pretty good job of hold it so far. It has a couple thousand lbs of strength, according to the label. And yeah, fiesta's looking pretty good, now I just need to find a spray can of it, or something close, locally.
