However some of us find this chunky neck to be more comfortable than the slimmer VM Jag neck ;)

I think so freddy - at worst a wee bit of sanding and such jiggery-pokery. Just do it!

I don't really know, but an alternative is crackle paints. You put on a coat of , let dry, and then a second colour that reacts and dries with cracks. A friend did it to a guitar, and I believe they are a certain brand. She called them Crackle paints, so gooogle that!

Old Nitromors was fine, new Nitromors couldn't strip a stripper in a strip club. We stripped the doors in our kitchen and we had to buy some new Nitromors halfway through - we ended up doing a lot more sanding. Likewise, I've had success with Nitromors though it is still a mission getting back to w...

Eh? The tremloc button's never worked like that, n00b Oh yes it most assuredly has! Sure, you can't use the trem when locked and dropped to D, but neither was that particular element mentioned by me. To whit: if the spring is adjusted so that the zero position of the trem (unlocked) is the same as ...

I'm a little concerned with the reports of bad customer service reported in those links above. Anyhoo I've just emailed Rotosound with the following and will report back how things work out: Hi, I’ve recently purchased a short scale set of Rotosound bass strings to put on a 30 scale bass guitar...

I was intrigued to read the puff on the Swing Bass strings The John Entwistle connection 1966 “It was in 1966 and I was looking for that Danelectro sound again. I tried everybody’s strings but the E and the A’s just didn’t work. It was the same with Rotosound but there was something about t...

Rotosound shortscale bass strings problem........

Okay, I got these strings recently (only ones my local shop had) and much as I Love the daphne blue winds matching my Hotrod-Musicmaster bass....the bottom E is AWFUL. Just AWFUL. In fact it's giving me issues I've never ever encountered on stings beforew. My assumption is some manufacturing fault. ...

A parts comparison with the Cantrell might yield some easy swaps. i was THIS CLOSE to getting one for a decent price as the specs and vids sounded good, especially the adjustable rocker. There's quite a selection of boutique drop in parts designed to give teh n@j@s but they can get spendy. Hmmm I ba...

Nels Cline would NEVER besmirch his offsets by having a really useful way to do drop D tuning on the fly. Metal??? These offset ladies are for REAL music and a mastery is like fine lingerie. She play so buttery under my chocolate fingers.

I really like the stock pickups as well. Dropping the pot values from 1meg to 500k might cut the treble down for you though. Whoa they're 1meg for p90's? Not unheard of, but certainly not within the usual scope for those pups. Vintage wise you looking at 500's, sometimes 500 and a 250 for tone and ...

I'm dying to try a 7.23 to 9.5 compound radius. I love 7.25 for comfort but like a low action and bends too. a 7.25 - 12 would be an interesting experiment
