So I think I'm sold on the Dual Rec clone. When I get paid from my second job next week I'm gonna order one. It'll be nice to have something I can use at my apartment that doesn't sound like ass

Are the Hotone amps any good? I've always seen them at Sam Ash and wanted to try them but have never had the chance. I live in an apartment so I have all my big amps at the practice house w my other band stuff, but I'd like something that isn't a shitty digital combo for home use.

Yeah when I was putting it together the first time I flipped the control plate bc I didn't like that the switch was that close to the pickups. It seemed to get in my way. Plus I think it looks better that way

LOL I've been forgetting to pick it up from my practice space, I figured I could get away with it, didn't think anyone noticed yet. Been traveling a bit for a new job, and I think of the connections to the jack broke since I still don't have a control plate. Excuses, excuses I know ;)

Squier Telecaster Mods (aka "the Shadcaster")

So I was given a Squier Tele in pieces by Shadowofseattle when I was a student of his (yeah I'm a wee babby) to practice soldering and guitar construction in general. I'm still garbage at soldering, but now i decided to mod it a little bit more. Before pic: http://bestnetworx.com/uploader/files/749/...

Update - canceled the purchase... my heart and mind both slapped me at the same time for being selfish, and instead sent my dad in PR two super high powered flashlights and rechargeable batteries. Definitely not a bad way to spend the money. Hope your dad fares well :) as well as anyone else still ...

I have one of the JS32 Rhoads Vs, the newer cheap ones. Bought it bc I wanted a V but hate the Gibson style and the other symmetrical designs. Gonna drop Invaders or some other stupid high output pickup in it bc METAL or whatever. I like the gray finish (it looks gray on my screen). yeah I couldnt ...

The electrical part is super easy. Just attach the electronics to their respective holes in the pickguard, crimp the ground, and connect the pickups. Everything worked as intended when I tested it through an amp. Obviously due to the weird differences in Danelectro pickup brackets, it took a bit mo...

How did you like the GFS Kwikplug stuff? I've got a couple beater guitars that I'm planning on swapping pickups in a lot and while I need the practice soldering, I'd rather just have something I can swap easy, and save soldering for some of my guitars that I'm committing one set of pickups to, if th...

I used a chain, spoon, screwdriver, knife, scalpel, scotch-brite. And i watched some relic videos on youtube before. Cool, thanks for the info. Now I've just gotta get brave enough to try it on one of my babies. I've got a cheap strat that could use some abuse :) Post some pics please. Will do once...

The relic job looks awesome, love the sanding through to show the burst underneath. What tools do you use to relic? I've been wanting to experiment with it so I'm curious. A small town outside of Tampa called Brandon. Dumbtown is what myself and a few friends call it, because that's more or less what it is.

I fight with my guitars, and mostly play in Drop C so I play Power Slinkies and Beefy Slinkies depending on what mood I'm in that month.

I have a GRG121DX in the silverburst and it's my go to for daily usage, along side the Tele. I've wanted to get another Ibanez cheap because they're always decent quality but I really don't need another.
