Very exciting and good score. Not keen on the neck of my 339 dot but this looks good on paper right down to the parallelogram inlays, which should be on way more guitars, split or solid I find the size to be great personally but I'm small Thanks, guys. Who's Jake Bugg? I tried a Casino last year an...

I bought a Coupe (love the "Casinito" reference :) ) last week. I know some don't care for the shrunken size, but it's really not any smaller than my Squier Mascis. Sounds good and is comfortable to play. I only wish they offered it in more colors (like Pelham, burgundy mist, inverness gre...

If you want to get a looper for cheap, now's the time

Saw this on ILF earlier today--they're blowing out Akai Headrush E2s for $65, which includes free shipping. From what I read on ILF, it's only for the U.S peeps, so sorry everyone else.

Well done... Self-control is over rated... :D
I got a MIJ unit for $50, which is the most I was willing to spend, so I got lucky, I guess. I've never really used mine with dirt, either, just clean and mostly in a chorus-y setting.

Since we're discussing acoustics--are certain brands known for certain tonal characteristics? I've seen Taylors described as "bright" and Martins as "dark". Is this is a bunch of bulsh or is there something to it?

Monoprice Guitars?

Anyone tried their LP, Strat, or Tele copies? I read about them in an article from ProGuitarShop mentioning good cheap guitars (it mentioned Rondo as well). They all look to be around $120 or less.

MF shows the Sherwood Green CV Strat with an ETA of 9/5:

CV 50s Strat

Same for the Burgundy Mist 60s:

CV 60s

Is there a huge difference sonically between the two? The only Strat I've ever used was a Bullet so I don't know the difference between Alnico Vs vs. the 3.

Looks like the VM 72 Thinline Tele will hit the States any day now. Musicians Friend has an ETA of 9/5 but they're known to push back dates for weeks:

If it's the grub screw, you can find a suitsble replacement at Ace Hardware for 50 cents. Just bring one of the existing grub screws and have an employee match the size. It's definitely metric. But I gave up on the Squier JM/Jag bridge as well. It really is a pain. If you like the guitar, a StayTre...

hes probably referring to one of the grubs. there are two either side of each saddle that are used to change the height of it - same as a strat or modern tele bridge. this would make sense because the squier bridges are not well put together in this respect and they seem a little small, so will lik...

VM Jaguar Question

I might be trading for one in the next few days and I just don't know much about the mechanics of guitars. In explaining the condition of the guitar (sounds like it hasn't been set up, either), he said that there is a bolt missing on the high E saddle. Is this something minor that anyone can basical...

I've read that they're starting to ship now although Sweetwater doesn't have them yet. Here's a vid from PGS (and it's more than U2 stuff):

I think it was either a Behringer VP1 (Small Stone clone) or a VD400 to use with my synths before playing guitar. After I started playing guitar, it was either a home-brew OD/distortion my friend made or a TC Nova Repeater.

Thought about that, but then I read a thread on here where it was mentioned that the guitar still sounded more like a Jaguar than a Jazzmaster.

Jag neck on a Jazzmaster?

I Googled for previous results here for a question like this and didn't find it. Sorry if this has already been covered somewhere. I'm more comfortable with shortscales but I miss the sound of my Jazzmaster. Has anyone here used a Jaguar neck with a JM for a short scale JM? Or should I just get a VM...
