No, that was the Fender Friday call-in special from Musician's Friend last week. Try calling them tomorrow morning and they might have that model again.

I think I'm in love. Exactly the sound that I've been looking for. The bridge pickup has a good twang to it, and the neck almost sounds like a piano. Closer to my Ric than any Fender I've played, and maybe even better. But I think my Mustang is not taking it well. After playing the thinline for a wh...

It's here! http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg292/jotmm/NewTele.jpg I haven't been able to plug it into an amp yet but my first impression is that it looks amazing and sounds great unplugged. The neck tint is much darker than in the pictures I'd seen, which is a good thing. And the neck seems thin...

Fender Friday got me

The temptation was too great and I caved in. Classic Player Thinline Telecaster Deluxe for $499. I've really wanted a thinline tele, and at that price I'd be hard pressed to find a used one. Darn you, internet, for feeding my addiction. Here is the full list if anyone is interested. I think I got th...

Sorry I didn't see this sooner! 30th Street guitars is pretty good, especially for gawking at amazing vintage stuff (with prices to match). Also good for an occasional celebrity sighting. It's right around the corner from Madison Square Garden. The guitar shop on Bleecker is called Matt Umanov, and ...

My girlfriend had a bronco for a little while, but I didn't think it sounded very good. Plus, I found the neck to be too clubby and the frets were not finished well at all. We might have just gotten a bad one. I'm sure converting to string-through would have helped a lot, but we don't have a drill p...

I think it's too late now. He was looking for a quick sale and I'm sure he found someone. Craigslist guitars usually go quick here if they are reasonably priced and the seller is not a total flake. I kind of regret letting it go because I'm probably going to wind up shelling out at least twice as mu...

I guess no one is interested. I looked at the photo more closely and it seems like there are three small screws around the pickup, so at some point the original pickup was replaced with a tele bridge pickup? I decided to pass, so if anyone else is interested here's the pic: http://i251.photobucket.c...

Squier Vista Musicmaster Bass question

Hey all, I haven't posted in a while, but I've been following along quietly. There's a shell pink Squier Musicmaster bass up on NY craigslist for $200. I'm seriously considering it. The guy sent me a picture, and it looks like the pickup has 6 polepieces, like the original Fender Musicmasters. All t...

I don't know who it is, but I haven't seen it posted before. I assumed from the location that they were based in the city, but maybe not? Noho is based in California, correct? If this post is from anyone on the board, I apologize, I really don't mean to offend anybody. It just seems like they are se...

Headline of a New York Craigslist post: BUILD YOUR OWN 65 or 66 FENDER MUSTANG ELECTRIC GUITAR - $1000 (SoHo) full post This, to me, is shady on so many levels. Again, I feel bad even posting it because I don't want to endorse the shady, but I'm wondering if it gives everyone else the creeps as much...

iMac running Logic Express with a Line 6 TonePort UX2 for an i/o. The Gearbox software that it comes with is pretty good, although you can also bypass the software by changing your preferences. It runs off its own soundcard, so there is zero latency. That's the biggest thing for me. Latency makes me...

I have the Classic Vibe Jazz Bass and the build quality is excellent. The frets are finished very well with no sharp edges, and the gloss finish on the neck looks and feels very much like my CIJ 65 Mustang. The pickups sound great to my ears, although I haven't compared it to other jazz basses. The ...
