No, it's been gone for a while now. I've almost paired down to a handful of keepers. At least for now. :?:

Surfs Up! DuoSonic Parts Guitar Build

I saw this body on ebay for $99 bucks and I couldn't pass it up. I figured I could make a pickguard and load it with the mustang set of Q pickups I bought off ebay. Btw, these pickups sound beautiful and they were like $80 for the set. I had a nice neck but the heel was too wide and I didn't want to...

Not much. Life is getting in the way. I did put together a duo sonic parts guitar but I'm having wiring issues so I need to open it back up someday.

I have a bunch of miscellaneous saddles from older squiers, I may have a match if you want to post a closeup pic.

I've bleached water stains out of a guitar neck before with good results. Wood bleach is fairly inexpensive so I would definitely give it a shot. It did take quite a few applications for it to fade but it did work. Not sure how well it would work on natural wood knots but, like I said, the wood blea...

Yeah, it's great. Orders used to take a week to 10 days to arrive. Now it's like 2 or 3 days. Finally got the neck cleaned up. Not sure if this was in a flood but it was definitely in some weather at one point. http://i.imgur.com/Izka91tl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Xfc44lKl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/z0b492...

Nah, it has a "made in China" sticker on the heel of the neck. It does look well made though.

There is indeed a fret under all that gunk. http://i.imgur.com/KYXsu2Kl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/hwHnZHel.jpg Look at the crud in the switches. The pickups and wiring are all surprisingly working but will need a butt load of cleaning. http://i.imgur.com/q0YUc0c.jpg Made by Aria. http://i.imgur.com/mn3...

Yeah, I saw it that morning before work and I resisted. Worked half the day then went to lunch. When I got back to the office I thought I would check again. I was sure it would be gone by then but it wasn't so I had no choice.

Thanks sunshiner. Stewart, I've had a few of the strat versions and they were pretty nice guitars for the money spent. I finally had some time to make the pickguard and drill the string thru bridge on the Bullet Deluxe. I still need to order a couple small parts. Knobs and string tree but it's done ...

Love your work but I cry inside every time I see that potential Swinger headstock remodelled. It's okay, I've made more swinger headstocks out of strat necks than the other way around. Body blank cut and sanded to shape. http://i.imgur.com/6x701Qrl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/LICT63wl.jpg http://i...

The Bullet had the metal pickguard / bridge combo. The Deluxe had a plastic pickguard with chrome bridge. The Deluxe is easier to duplicate for me.
Those metal pickguards go for pretty big money if you can find one.

Thanks guys. Bacchus, I'm planning on leaving the neck as it is since it's already finished. I'm just painting the body. And I do have a Longhorn build going but I already did a thread on one of those so I didn't post it. I strung it up last night and I think I'm going to recess the bridge about a t...
