Mother fucker. I'm hoping these are just like Eastwoods too, because the blue one looks right up my street.

The John Squier thing is a massive, fussy abomination. Also it probably weighs a ton. This looks like a custom job, but it's got an Aria 1532 thing going on too. (Did anyone else notice they'd reissued this?!) http://58eca9fdf76150b92bfa-3586c28d09a33a8c605ed79290ca82aa.ssl.cf3.rackcdn.com/aria-1532...

Meh. It's all been done to death, or maybe I've been around these parts too long. We were looking at Jazzmaster copies 15 years ago on JS.Com, it's become a bit boring. I do like some G&L stuff but I'm not feeling it with these. I'm with Fran. It looks like some Hohner JT60, Stagg or Jay Turser...

FIVE HUNDRED EURO?!? Ridiculous price for such a nothing guitar, and the pic looks like it was photoshopped by a three year old. And that bridge is a travesty.

Did you need to do anything to the neck? Did you know if it was straight when you saved it? In any case, beautiful resto-mod....love everything about it. I didn't know the neck was straight until it arrived, but I've got the original neck from the Elgita as a spare. Oddly the headstock has a slight...

I'm a guess it'd been stored somewhere damp, then allowed to dry out. It was in an absolutely decrepit gig bag, that I had to cut away from the guitar. The pickguards on these decay horrifically, oxidising and fucking-up any metal hardware near them. There was a fair bit of oxidation under the chrom...

The pickguard shape makes sense if there's 4 knobs on it. With the epi config it's too big/sparse and looks bad.

Musima Eterna fixer-upper

Already mentioned this in that thread about orientating the control labels of guitars that have too many controls, but thought I'd post a few pics of the project now it's pretty much done. So I got this Musima Eterna for £110 on the bay....

Almost done! I got the custom pickguard made by Scratch-It, who were super professional and helpful. Really pleased with the result.

Thanks. I think you're right. The Musima originally has this accent, but Framus and Hopf don't. Because it's a black guitar I reckon it's needed.

I'm nuts for these upside-down controls.

I know what you mean. Having the writing upside-down is at least unusual.

This one is sideways, with less guesswork involved. I like it less.

GUITAR IS COOL LOOKING THOUGH This is true. Is that your guitar Tim? Nah, I'm gonna buy one when I find one though. The redburst would look cool with my matching Framus and Musima, but I really like that green finish. Reason for the poll- I've got to design the scratchplate for this Musima I'm fixi...

Ugh, this. It also pisses me off when easily described EQ boost/cut functions are obtusely labeled in marketingese, like "contour" and "colour". Well, quite. This Blackstar HT5 has an EQ control labelled 'ISF' and I don't even. I've fiddled with it a few times but it doesn't see...
