Re: How hard is it to paint a guitar with poly?
I'd seen some reviews saying the QA was really shitty on these guitars and that the setup out of the box was horrible / non-existent, needs a full turn of the truss rod etc. But mine is fine. Frets are good. Setup is ok, could probably get lower action but out of the box it's very playable as is. My...

Re: How hard is it to paint a guitar with poly?
DHL have fucked this. Supposed to be next day delivery. Now two days late with no update on what's going on and it's impossible to contact a human at DHL. The online contacts just provide an auto response saying they'll look into it.

Re: How hard is it to paint a guitar with poly?
Worst case scenario is that I do a shit enough job that I just strip th paint and redo a clear coat with a new decal. Honestly, probably the hardest part will be getting the motivation to start.

SQUIER FSR CV LATE '60S JAZZ BASS MODS
Everyone seems to use nitro. I'm thinking of getting an LPB guitar and painting a matching headstock on it. But, since the body will be painted with poly, it seems like would make sense to paint the headstock poly also.

'50s LP Jr in (almost) totally fucked condition
This is a pretty cool find. Assuming it's genuine.
I'm actually more interested in how it will turn out after restoration.

Re: NEU! 96 MIM Duo-Sonic
I have 2 90s MIM Duos. It was a long time ago and my memory is not so good, but I did a lot of mods on one so this may not all be correct, bit here goes.... It had been sprayed in blue/green/purple flip paint before I bought it. I modded it more. Bridge changed to a non-trem Strat type. Standard fu...

Are those Indian laurel fretboards, because they look horrifically light coloured to me.

Re: Woodrite Switchblade
the woodrite I cannot gel with, it's like if an earwig crawled into the transporter with a jaguar. the guild is like an even more fucked up swinger to the point where I'm actually starting to like it.
