Re: How to get a cool synth sound on Guitar

Basically, taking all the gorgeous, complex sounds that the instrument can produce, and all the brilliant things that each pedal can do, but reducing them right down to "fuck you, I just want you to create this one impulse." That is basically me every time I pick up a guitar  its bas...

Re: How to get a cool synth sound on Guitar

Don't know how many Idles fans are on here but that's kind of only partly the point of this video http://youtu.be/pKND2yWjaA8 Seen them on a number of occasions locally and remember seeing them 3rd on the bill at the louisiana supporting Teeth of the Sea years ago and standing out. Most of my frien...

Re: Home guitar time setups

What do you use in ableton for emulation ? I could never get on with ableton, better with fl studio but hassle recording, mostly just use amplitube as standalone, make some drums stuff in superior drummer and put that in amplitube as 'jam' tracks. I got reaper and planning on getting to know that. ...

Re: Home guitar time setups

I've been using Ableton for a lot of my guitar practice with headphones. In fact probably use it more through my monitors than through my guitar amp. I use the guitar amp more for reamping sounds to record back in to ableton and sampling.

Animoog Z

New updated version of Animoog has been released and is brilliant. Not only is it an iOS app but now can be used as a VST

Re: Ableton Live 11

I took advantage of the Black Friday 25% discount and upgraded to live 11. First impressions are that the workflow is a lot better. Some of the synths are performing better. I love all the chance and random stuff being built in instead of me having to use some 3rd party or max for live plugins. Not ...

synths and guitars sampled through 56 amps

This looks mental and sounds amazing. Spitfire Audio released their latest instrument which is basically 56 guitar amps in Air Lundhurst studio having people play synths and guitars through it. It sounds fucking brillian. http://www.spitfireaudio.com/aperture-the-stack/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?...

Re: What are your favourite/dream acoustics

About 15 years ago I had come in to some money and I had the option to buy a J45 or a bike. I bought the bike due to commuting in London but really wish I bought the J45 now as it is still my favourite acoustic Turns out Epiphone is making the classic J45, J200 and Hummingbird under their the Inspi...

Re: Behringer Edge

I might have come across dismissive in my first post, but I think it's a great item. It's also cool that the Crave is getting another identical form factor friend. I'd like to see a whole bunch of semi-modular Crave/Edge sound modules in the future. you can guarantee that they already have a subhar...

Re: Behringer Edge

It's sort of case by case isn't it? Yeah, for me there's no real issue with making copies/clones of discontinued pedals, synths etc but copying stuff that's still in production is a bit of a shitty move. so you don't believe companies making strats or muff clones should be making them as well. I do...

Re: FSR CV 70's thinline custom telecaster maple+black binding

I really don't like the look of this, same was with the block inlay squier jazz bass. The blocks looks like some kid put some crazy ass stickers on the neck or that twonk who used to try and pass off his own blocks and blinding guitars as originals got a job in at squier and only been given a sharpi...
