The corners went over the top on the original, but I do see the logic of what you did: you built the cab around the chassis. Looks nice. Exactly. Top and bottom are ~2mm wider than chassis, height is only relevant to looks and required baffle size, which was tiny in this case. Chassis is gonna be s...

Masonite is hardboard with one smooth side. The other side looks dotted, like you see inside a cavity in a Danelectro. Other kinds have two smooth sides. Names are regularly mixed, I think all kinds are often Masonite in the US, and hardboard in the UK.

Measuring is a good idea before drilling. Number means size of hole required. Thats good info when going crazy with a awesome drill. http://bestnetworx.com/uploader/files/683/60%20drilling.jpg Pots look nicer this way, though a bitch to solder. http://bestnetworx.com/uploader/files/683/61%20pot%20sd...

Fender woody - style mini amp

Time for new project. Got a "Little Rebel" 2W ss amp kit around 6 months back. Thought it would be time for some soldering practice. Got it together - and in theory working too. More of that later. Chassis kinda large, but thought it wouldnt matter as the speaker will need some room too. h...

Great link that marcelroy one. My short Musicmaster experience is just that; with nines its easier to accidentally bend strings while chording, and that they bend more easily in general (with or without intent). That, and the intonation thing combine to made it sound like i started playing that same...

My tip is to get a few shitty acoustic guitars to train your skills with. Ones that have outplayed frets or other issues are not expensive. Do a couple of them. Acquiring a new skill is not a bad investment. Actually it might be the only good one, actively pursuing new experiences the other one. Pos...

Epiphone EB-0/EB-3. The Epiphone EB-3 is actually 34" scale like the old Gibson EB-3L, I wish it was short as the bolt-on EB-0 (which is indeed 30.5") appeals to me infinitely less sound-wise with its lone mudbucker. The more recent "Gibson SG Bass" was a 30.5" EB-3. Epipho...

Heres a shot of the headstock. More pics next time I sit down with it. Tuners are the splurge detail in this guitar, gotoh no-line kluson clones. Tip of the day: Get gotoh conversion bushings if you want the vintage look, they're like a tenner more than el cheapo bushings, sharper edge. El cheapo wo...

That guitar is really cool, you did a really good makeshift job with those saddles. And i had a little moment of patriotism seeing the Narex logo (czech tool making brand) :D ! Thanks! gusman2x wrote:That's really cool, good job. Intonate OK?
Yep. Only issue so far is the threads are quite tight, height screws ok, but intonation screws get almost too tight when they get close to bridge end and angle up.

Price/quality spot on still.
