Re: pictures of your guitars here
Don't sell Tornado 100% I already edited my post before noticing yours, I had just gone downstairs to play it on my lunch break through the pro reverb and was wondering wtf I was thinking. I haven't had it properly set up since the refret, the frets are still normal/vintage style but it was practic...

Re: New Pedalboard Project
I snagged my second pedal for my new pedal board. I found a used BOSS TU-2 tuner at the local guitar shop for $50. It's the same tuner I have on my other board. It's always been reliable for me. I am hoping to snag more used pedal deals going forward as I build out the board. I need to order the Str...

Re: Jazz Bass Knobs vs Jaguar knobs
I might go ahead and order a set to compare them.
In addition to black, they had aged white, green, red, blue purple and brown.
Even if I end up with the extra small knob I could possibly use it later.

Stunning guitar.
I love the fretboard and the matching headstock.
I wish all Fenders had matching headstocks.

Jazz Bass Knobs vs Jaguar knobs
Are Fender Jazz Bass knobs (larger ones) the same size as standard Fender Jaguar knobs? I have always wanted different color Jaguar knobs for Mustangs and Jaguars but never found anything but black. I even found Jazz Bass knobs in a variety of colors but have never had them side by side to compare t...

It's like a telecaster custom in Jaguar form
Jaguar Custom for short.
I think it looks phenomenal. You should be proud.

Re: 20-40w tube amps - what do we like SS?
Seeing how this started with you playing your mate’s Twin you should probably consider a couple more Fender amps too. ‘65 Deluxe Reverb or ‘68 Pro Reverb. The Marshall SV20 is super loud, you won’t get any breakup without an attenuator, though the same can be said for most valve amps without preamp...

Re: New Pedalboard Project
I like the look of that. I’d like to try a Deco one day, looks like a fun pedal. One thing I’d say is that the 1981 sounds pretty awesome boosted by a Tubescreamer type pedal for leads or heavier riffing. I have an SD-1 into mine and I think it sounds great. Maybe switch that in for one of the fuzz...

Re: New Pedalboard Project
What's the plan with the 2 muffs? I currently run a Made by Mike Civil War Muff that I love. The Green Muff is pretty close to the Civil War and I had been wanting to try an Op-Amp Muff. I originally had the Black Russian along side the Civil War but they are very close to one another in terms of s...

New Pedalboard Project
I currently have an older Pedaltrain Pro that I use at home. http://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52531238493_280509856a.jpg I recently picked up a used Pedaltrain Novo 24 for $50 with the older style case. The case needs a little TLC on one corner. This board has plenty of space but definitely smalle...

Re: NGD: Squier Classic Vibe Mustang
Any good recommendations for upgrading the tuners?
I was looking at some Vintera Jaguar tuners but was curious what others might have used.
I like the look and feel of the tuners but it takes a lot more noodling to get it in tune.

If it was sherwood green, maybe someone used their own piece of wood on it.

Re: NGD: Blue Fender Toronado GT
[quote It's definitely a heavier Fender guitar with that Mahogany body. Interesting, so it's the same thickness as a standard Fender, like a Strat? I have a project planned with a mahogany body as well, but I planned to make it thinner than usual to offset the weight difference. How much heavier, w...
