Mustang PS special pickups...

Post by Mattsican »

I'm thinking of experimenting with different pickup options and don't know if the pickups in are a standard size. Like could i get a nickel covered SD or DiMarzio pick up and slap it in and have it fit? I seem to remember seeing somewhere that they were a bit bigger than most pickups? Discuss.

If you ever want to sell those pickups, let me know. I actually liked the sound and the wiring options on the Pawnshop Mustangs.

Those pickups are supposedly a WR Enforcer in a smaller cover. Similar to what comes in the CP Jaguar HH.

I thought they were just normal humbuckers in a wide range looking cover, no?

they are the same as the cp jag HH pickups, but with a "split coil" cover

like the "WRHB" clones that GFS sells.

i love how those pickups sound, and really i would kill for another set of them.

personally i don't think enforcers sound that much like WRHB at all..

what with the one jag i have (thaks taylor) having a WRHB in the bridge with a CP JAG pup in the neck.
and the other jag having the stock enforcer in hte bridge, and a CP JAG pup in the neck..

love em. totally different sounds though.

sadly it's too late at night to record an audio demo.. someone remind me tomorrow.
