Is this on sale the same time as the Mustang, Jag and JM?

It's cheaper than I was expecting! Do want now.

MikeG's comment from another thrad....
edit: This is what the Andertons site says...."For the first time ever, Squier introduces a Vintage Modified Telecaster Deluxe guitar armed with all-new Fender®-designed Wide Range humbucking pickups. An acclaimed and time-honoured Fender innovation, the Wide Range humbucking pickup delivers incredibly full tone and lends even more vintage-style authenticity to this new model."
Sounds like Fender just contracted out their WRHB design and used Fender covers...... I hope we are pleasantly suprised and they turnout quality ala the CV line. Fingers Crossed....
I saw this too. It leads me to believe they are not the same as the ones in the 72 reissue....? It has me curious.MikeG wrote:What's that about 'all-new' Wide Ranging pickups? Not wanting to go all Telenator here, but have they improved the design perhaps?

I don't mean to rag on Squier but you can be 100% sure they haven't improved the WRHB design, basically because it's a Squier. If it is different to the MIM versions (and I'm sure the covers are at least the same) I'd reckon its more likely they used a cheaper/easier to source bucker inside the cover than Fender do. Or they might be the exact same thing and just say "all new" because no Squier has had them before.
Look at the recent cheaper offsets, be they Squier or MIM: duncan designed pickups, no-name copies of vibratos, etc...
And while the CV guitars are nice, their pickups are also generic. They're the same as the ones in the Standard Squier Tele I had.
Squier don't build stuff like hardware and pickups. They buy it from somewhere else, or Fender allocate it from another one of their operations.
