Hilarious how this design was an April fools joke on jag-stang which then got circulated on other forums and laughed at.... Yet I think it is one of the coolest bass designs ever. The JS body arguably works better with the extended scale. Cannot wait to see this

Punc/Cooter - would that neck pocket work with any stang bass neck? What about bronco necks? I'd seriously consider ordering a body in the future as I want a Shortscale bass.

Richard can make any neck pocket route that you would like. (:

Used the spare mikey way bass parts and my bronco to build a cool bass parts stang. Yes the control plate is made out of cardboard haha. I'm debating on getting a black one made out of pickguard material instead of getting a chrome one. But the cardboard works for now haha. The bronco neck fit pretty good. A little snug. The bridge I just measured and lined up the best I could. I think it came out good. Plays good. Might get a Fender bridge cover for it to fill out the mustang bridge look but maybe not. Looks good as is.

GOD DAMN SONS!

Great work all around, I really dig this damned thing, wish I had spotted the project thread earlier on, but whatever

my thoughts:

- Rock the designed by, fuck the haters, This looks a fuck of a lot closer to that odd scrap-booked design he sent fender then the guitar does..

- I dig the plate with toggle, but then again I like the little bit of extra chrome.

Complete except paint. That, my offset prototype 2, and my duosonic are all in a pile ready for paint. I just don't have the money to get them all done right now with restoring my Mustang (car) The Jag-Stang bass will be the first to get painted though :)

Neck is completely done. All glossy like a stock Fender neck.

Yeah... I haven't updated this in a while. Mr. Cobain took forever testing it out and approving it. It's currently sitting in a box awaiting paint... Here's something to drool over for now.

Can't wait to see it completed, I think it's much more attractive than the guitar.

+1. Fender should make this bass. I like everything you have done with this guitar.
