a mellow, spacey groovy thing.....
....i'm not saying that if you are slightly altered it wont work as well....
;)

really experimented with clean guitar tones on this one...
and a lot of walking finger bass....
the drums are completely synth, so this whole thing is a bit of a new twist for me.

currently this one works as an instrumental....
but i'd like to try a different approach with it.
i'm working out a lyric and melody for it right now.....
would love to hear any comments or suggestions....

a custom build (obviously!) i think it's pretty unique...

started out with a EMG SA assembly, that was changed to a pair of Wilde L-280's in neck and middle, with a duncan Lil 59'r in the bridge, SOON to become a Wilde L-45.

i guess folks aren't much into recording around here.

i just thought the short scale thingy might pull someone in.

funny thing about this custom build....

folks sometimes think that the bridge pickup is moved out, but it's really the neck and middle that are moved towards the bridge, because

of the scale length and the 24 frets...
it's kinda like brian may's red special that way.....

i'ts like an optical illusion.

i thought about putting the bridge straight across, but that looked weirder than pushing the pickups closer together.

the cool thing about this arrangment is, it makes the middle more usable, because it's not that far off tone wise

I must say, you have some decent skills. I like that bass.

thanks man, i've been playing a long time.
the bass for me, is as much fun as the guitar stuff...
i used a Carvin LB70 for that bass part.....

i have a little short scale bass (ibanez Mikkro) that i like even more...
but need to update electronics on it.
it's a trip to play.

Minty

thanks man, appreciate it
