LP Junior DC project

Post by jamba72 »

I recently got an LP Jr DC copy of ebay..the mods of the previous owner look funny, he hacked three holes into the body and sprayed it gold..
I love it though..nice neck with big inlays on the side..I wanted to sand it down but when I had it in my hands I loved it..nice 50s vintage look..punk rock style ;)

the neck..tele knobs..fits nicely to the gold finish..

nice weight, under 6 pounds..the wraparound bridge is of aluminium, adds some nice overtones..it swings!

the former owner did some nasty experiments on it..gladly the pickguard covers the funny, second ´middle´pickup and toggle hacks ;)

.. I cant use the Gibson form for the pickguard, because it wont cover the hacked pickup hole enough..shit.

I cut an p90 dogear mounting ring for the normal soapbar to keep an dogear look..

this one looks nice..;)
maybe I should just sand it completley and fill an the holes and keep the repairs visible..
but the gold is cool, too..

I still need some P90 wiring inspirations for dummy coil or series/ parallel/ whatever ..

From that shot, it certainly looks like it's had an eventful life.
