Does anyone else put stickers on their guitars?

Talk about all other types of guitars. Jazzmasters and basses go here!

I would never ever do that, unless it was a super fucked up Jazzmaster so i could mimick Thurston Moore. Completely understand why do people dig it tho. Personalizing your guitars is always nice, but i rather install different pickups, bridge, trems, wahtever and repaint it, or actually write something onto it.

I've got some pin up decals in a drawer but I haven't dared take the plunge, and probably won't.

I have a Rick and morty sticker on my blue jazzmaster, and a gummy bear with a jetpack on the pick guard, oh and a secret agent penguin on the back.
Other then that I don't have any stickers on the rest of my guitars. Don't really have any feeling about em. I think band stickers and brand stickers are a little cheesy on some guitars. It really depends though.
I also like to get a sticker of every good band I play with and stick em on this one hardshell case I have, as like a memento.

I have 2 other guitars and honestly couldn't ever find myself putting stickers on them. They are nicer quality and have a bit more sentiment to them. I got my supersonic for cheap ($350) and immediately started modding the pickup configuration. The skunk stripe on the back of the neck feels like it is popping out, so I'm constantly sanding it down and oiling the neck, (I have never touched any of my other guitars with sandpaper)... I guess after a while I started looking at this guitar as my project/mod guitar that I could have fun learning wiring mods with and never worry about the "looks", so I started throwing stickers on it... I thought "Hey, why not make this guitar even MORE wacky and personalized". It's neat to me having a guitar for the first time that I actually look at as a tool rather than making it more than it really is. I always tended to *drool over some guitars and was very picky about color and style, etc. IDK!

I have on a few.

This one because I'm a long time fan.

And this one because I just thought it looked cool.

My first guitar had so many stickers on it that you couldn't see the original paint. After going through the hassle of stripping them all off before I sold it I vowed never to cover a guitar in stickers. Same thing happened with a hard case. Haven't bothered with stickers since.

To be fair, that Supersonic looks like something J Mascis would do and he's always been cool as fuck, so all is forgiven.

I used decals in the Pistols band and have used stickers before, usually to hide bad routes or holes.

I played with a bass player that had an old short scale Encore bass covered in images cut out of the Razzle porn mag. He was a great player too, which was always funny during soundchecks. The other bands would be laughing at his gear until he plugged in.

marking up a guitar is like getting tattoos or piercings. if you like them, who cares what anyone else thinks?
