NPD - Hall of Fame (+ audio demo w/ comparison)

Post by luciguci »

The other day I snagged a brand new Hall of Fame for $115 shipped and immediately, I started comparing it with my old Hardwire RV-7. I found that they both had something to like and something to dislike, such as the shit spring setting on the HOF, or the barely audible mod setting on the RV-7. I recorded a comparison between both reverbs with their matching settings to show their differences. Personally, I prefer the Hardwire spring and gate reverbs and pretty much everything else I like from the Hall of Fame.

Here's the comparison, the first reverb is the Rv-7 and the second is the HoF in each clip http://www.soundcloud.com/tremglider/r ... omparisons

Nice comparison. I think this is reason enough to keep both. Pedals don't take up much space and you have a wider palate to draw from when you need. You should look into old rack units as well, you can get them for uber-cheap prices on craigslist. If you need any suggestions let me know.
