Surfs Up! DuoSonic Parts Guitar Build

Post by cooter »

I saw this body on ebay for $99 bucks and I couldn't pass it up. I figured I could make a pickguard and load it with the mustang set of Q pickups I bought off ebay. Btw, these pickups sound beautiful and they were like $80 for the set.
I had a nice neck but the heel was too wide and I didn't want to mod the neck pocket and risk screwing up the paint. Luckily I wound up doing some guitar work for a guy who had a couple of these necks and he was nice enough to trade me one
for the work. HBN helped me figure out my wiring woes and I couldn't be more happy with how it plays and sounds.

Looks super classy and a Duo Sonic body looks refreshing after seeing so many Mustang models that have recently appeared. Black pups and witch hats look super cool

Do you still have that Kalamazoo with P90s that you restored?

No, it's been gone for a while now. I've almost paired down to a handful of keepers. At least for now. :?:
