more ambient noodling on a Sunday afternoon. All from the Eurorack and recorded in to Ableton, only effects in Ableton is the limiter on the master channel and a bit of autopanning to create a feeling of space.

Flies through the looking glass

*as a note, does anyone know if you can embed souncloud clips into posts here on shortscale?

The kids have bought me a plaits for Christmas. These next two weeks are going to go so slow. I’m really excited to start messing about with this.

Looks like Behringer are bringing out a shit tonne of Eurorack modules. Might keep the costs in check.

They announced they'd be doing a load of Roland system 100 clones and I think a lot of them are those.

sound design and ambient stuffs for sure.

I have the Native Instruments Reactor 6 I can play with for a while but the idea of a machine to play with is more appealing.

you can start with a semi modular or a couple of modules with multiple functions. Mutable Instruments have a lot of modules that are multi functional the same as the Disting or something like Maths and Pam's New Workout.

Just remember the basic building blocks are an oscillator or sound source, filter and envelop. Then modular gets intresting when you get the "invisible hands" of control devices like lfo's, VCA's, random generators, etc.

Reactor is a great tool to try stuff and create sounds. If you need any tutorial videos to watch about modular sound design let me know, I could point some stuff out to watch
