The pickups sound decent enough but there something I don’t particularly like about them that I can’t quite put my finger on. The guitar looks ace though.

Loved the video. The pickups have the same sort of average sound (pretty much like the Jazzmaster ones). Not what I think of as very Jaguar like sound, tho probably a good all-rounder sound wise, possibly better for a lot of different applications.

More of a sidegrade than an upgrade.

No not really its about the pickups. Its also not my guitar, its a partscaster that they guy painted but struggled with the wiring so I offered to wire it up for him and then set it up. It has a jap trem and a staytrem bridge. Unfortunately its a 7.5 neck with the 9.5 staytrem bridge so the setup isn't perfect. So he's ordered the right bridge for it.
