I saw those. I was somewhat intrigued by the basses but I don’t care for the color choices or active pups.

I’d do one like a ‘51 reissue pbass.

Meteorism is too serious a problem for Fender to take it lightheartedly and call a guitar line after it

I've always dug the Meteora design, and an HH setup works for them, I think. Not too big on that 12" radius and big ol' frets, but otherwise they seem decent.
The basses, I'm less sold on, mainly the active electronics - you can bypass 'em but they're bumping the price up.
