NGD TVL JM MIM OMFG

Post by MattK »

I'd decided to stick with the far-too-many-guitars I had and just concentrate on playing more. And then my friend got a used TVL Jazzmaster into his store. I figured I had to do it because he's a new dad and needs more income from the store, not at all because it's absolutely gorgeous and plays like a dream.
It's used and 10 years old but seriously appears never to have been played. Insane quality, pickups are magic, feel is great. I'm in love:

"No, I'm not going to buy anything. Let me just peek inside that music store for a sec."(comes out with a Marshal full stack)

Jk, it looks fantastic and if it feels right, it is right. I bought my current guitar when I had already had too many guitars and I thought at the time it was a dumb decision and I didn't need it. Turns out all the rest have gone and this one is not going anywhere.

It looks so fancy I need sunglasses, and also getting an urge to pour a glass of red and just watch it.

So.... as well as recently picking up my absolute dream jaguar, you've now got my absolute dream jazzmaster.

Love the look of these things.

Always thought these looked amazing. Such a nice colour. Plus the B&B.

Very jealous! Enjoy 8)

Adjective!

Also crazy to think those are 10 years old now.

Looks like the same base color as the CIJ J Mascis Jazzmaster. The headstock is almost identical.

Does that Jazzmaster have standard space between the trem and bridge?

Nah, that Mascis JM is a purple. That looks like an OCR (Old Candy Apple Red) '66 reissue.

Ah, yeah. It does actually say Oxblood on the Fender website. I'd love to see OCR next to Oxblood irl.

Yep - otherwise it wouldn’t be in my collection!
