Woodrite Switchblade

Post by Rhysyrhys »

I think I may have just came: http://doesitdoom.com/product/switchblade/

I never knew I needed an SG crossed with a Jazzmaster/Jaguar, but now I know that like crossing over the event horizon of a black hole that this guitar is inescapably in my future.

Hmm. This might be nearly brilliant. Can't really work it out. I'm immediately put off by the crap font on the headstock. I think I'm mostly put off by the weird way the lower edge of the body loses its chamfer to hug the scratch plate tightly.

I think this idea (Jazzmaster, but SG'd) could be better done.

I still think I prefer a wonky SG though, like Kim Thayil's Guild S100.

Strange coincidence. Woodrite is heavily featured in the stock of WM Guitars, which I just posted about.

Clearly you and me are getting the same targeted ads, Rhys.

I'm in a similar boat to Bacchus. I love the concept and I want to love the execution, but I'm not sure it's quite hitting, especially at that price.

Nothing can hold a candle to a Guild T-bird when it comes to "an SG morphs into a wacky offset"

the woodrite I cannot gel with, it's like if an earwig crawled into the transporter with a jaguar. the guild is like an even more fucked up swinger to the point where I'm actually starting to like it.

The chamfer fades about there on an SG too, but you're right - it looks odd on this.

Same on the Gretsch Corvette, though it’s more of an SG, LP JR merge

I'm sorry but it sounds like you bought yourself the wrong guitar.

What I meant is that you are a princess so that should've been your guitar.

When you press the accelerator past halfway it doesn’t actually go any faster, but the engine noise distorts

It really looks cool, as does Plops's(I do remember your burst one, it's a badass looking rock'n'roller)
