After waiting 3 weeks and my original pedal got lost in the mail (good job USPS), I finally got my hands on a used Styrmon Deco V1.

I only have a few minutes with pedal but I am throughly impressed with it. The Saturation size is a fantastic overdrive/boost and the Double tracker can do Chorus/flange to doubletracking/slapback all the way to 500ms delay. It's also not a back looking pedal either.

Very nice, I always wanted to try the Deco. Board is looking great!

Thanks. It's starting to become what I envisioned it to be.

The Deco is really cool because it exists in the area between Flanger/chorus but before Delay. This pedal will do a 500ms delay but it works in that space that most delay pedals don't get into. You can definitely get slap back delays with other delay pedals, but it covers so much ground in that pre delay space while still doing delay things. The Saturation side really takes it to another level. This would be great pedal on a minimalist board if you needed something that could give you overdrive/saturation while doing your basic effects. It's one of those "always on" kind of pedals. It kinda flys under the radar because of the popularity of other Strymon pedals like El Capistan or Timeline.

Found a nice odd shelf in the ikea bargain corner for £1 and thought it’d make a nice pedalboard.

Still loving the fuzz face, it really sings when it’s fed into a driven amp or plexi style dirt pedal.

Octavio is sounding pretty nasty, which is what I wanted it to be. Gets into ring mod territory when playing more than one note at times.

Used a load of switch cleaner on my DLS pots and switches and it’s now fully functional again. Green mode is plexi mode, set for light breakup/crunch sound.

The M5 is a maybe at the moment, as I’m thinking of sticking it through the FX loop and leaving it on top of the amp. I can toggle the loop on/off through the amp foot switch and may find a cheap 4/5 button midi switcher to access presets on the M5. Though sounds like hassle for the occasional delay/verb/leslie sound.

Keep seeing the TC electronics bucket brigade delay cropping up and sounds great for £40-50 quid.

Wifey has hinted that i might be getting a wah for Christmas as I regretted selling my nice Hendrix one that I loved.
