What JD meant Icey was that better is a subjective thing. A TOM or strat hardtail would change the character of the guitar and its sound. I would never buy a hard tail strat because I'd miss the sound of the springs.
A TOM or Strat hardtail might give the guitar most sustain and maybe dddve doesnt want that.

I bought a Warmoth Swinger body that I could probably take pics of one of these days, I was gonna make it a big surprise when I was done with the whole thing, but I just took at job at the Pentagon and I have like no time anymore. But if you bug the shit out of me I could take pics and maybe even measurements.
Arlington, huh? That's a bit of a drive, but not terrible. I hope you got a little extra for your troubles. That looks pretty good on paper. There's a great guitar tech over that way who does a lot of the work for GC. If you need any setups he's a good guy to go to. He's on 23rd Street.Dingus wrote:I bought a Warmoth Swinger body that I could probably take pics of one of these days, I was gonna make it a big surprise when I was done with the whole thing, but I just took at job at the Pentagon and I have like no time anymore. Did you ever work out your routing issue? What's the best way to bug the shit out of you?

That's awesome dude! I've been thinking about getting a swinger body from them too. Aren't they 25.5 scale though? And also... I thought they only came routed for humbuckers on those bodies... so you shouldn't have any problems angling the pickup if that's the case.Dingus wrote:I bought a Warmoth Swinger body that I could probably take pics of one of these days, I was gonna make it a big surprise when I was done with the whole thing, but I just took at job at the Pentagon and I have like no time anymore. I was continuing the "what so-and-so meant" idea. Like playing telephone. I know--it didn't work. I was hoping we would continue to the point where we were talking about racecars or Gestalt.euan wrote:Is it not obvious what I meant? Yes, that your template. All I really needed was the outline of the body. The guts are all gonna be bronco. I have all the parts already with the exception of neck pup.eupat wrote:it's the template i've done for dddave

this whole 'Aug-is-building-all-yer-shit' thing might work a bit quicker if I had a Bronco and parts, dave.dodgedartdave wrote:Yes, that your template.
