Dingwall ?

Post by Justin »

I was doing an image search for Super J (don't ask) and this came up

Image

Image

It looks kinda wanky, and is wayyy more than I'd ever pay for a guitar, much less a bass. But it sort of calls to me.

Dingwall Afterburner I / 5 3 Tone Sunburst/Flame Top, Soft Maple Body w/Flame Maple Top, Maple Neck w/Novax Fanned Fret Wenge Fingerboard, Custom Dingwall/Hipshot Bridge, Dingwall FD-3 Passive Pickups w/4-Position Rotary Switch For Series/Parallel Operation & Passive EQ w/bluEQube Passive Mid Control, Black Hardware. Gig Bag Retail $3301 Sale $2640

bigger pics N shit, gotta scroll down a ways.

I always figured that novax fanned fret shit would take a long time to warm up to. I've never tried one.

The angled tuners make it look sad.

And ugly.

Maybe sad because it's so ugly.

It's probably the worst thing I've ever seen posted on this board ever.

I would love to try one out, just to see if I like the fanned frets or not. I would never own such a thing though. I'm sure it sounds great.

They were right behind us at NAMM, on the other side of the curtain.

Pretty nice folks, too...Especially considering how hot our Deluxe was cooking all day.
