A Guitar From Neptune

Post by westtexasred »

I got this Silvertone on Ebay tonite.$355 and it comes in a 60's Fender case. It's a 1960,I thought it was cool because it because it still has the 50's neck and body style which changed that year.I really want to see how the sound compares to my reissues

Thanks guys!I think this guitar sold cheaper than some because it is a shortcale and doesn't have a tone switch.

I'm not sure,it might be the same scale as a regular Danectro(25")and just have less frets than the Silvertone 1317

Fedex delivered my guitar yesterday. It IS short scale,24" like a Mustang. It plays and sounds great.Neck is straight as an arrow and action is lower than on my reissues. Pretty impressive for a nearly 50 year old "budget" guitar.Pickup has a rich warm sound with more bottom end "Thump" than my reissues.Great for rockabilly and surf but turn up the gain and it's a screaming punk rock machine. My favorite guitar. Thanks Mr Daniel!

Fucking sweet. In the first pictures I thought it was black. I quite like the brown color.
