It's going to be either a Crisp (i..e not Yellowed Arctic White) White or a Translucent White so you can see the grain, I'm still unsure about it and have a little bit of fine tuning before I break the guitar down and start the finishing process. I should be able to get some strings on it and wire up the pickups in a couple of weeks so I'll make a demo video of it in it's "naked" condition then
It's a Warmoth neck, they made it from scratch. took FOREVER though. They quoted 4-6 weeks and it took from September until March which is not 4-6 weeks.
Hmmm that's actually not too expensive. I'd go for non-showy woods too. No need to be a ponce.
I'm getting a friend to make a repro neck with a playable profile/non jaggedy fret ends for one of these orrible Musima guitars. But that's another story...
The first neck they made for me apparently had loads of orange peel issues and they kept on sanding down and reglossing it to no avail. They were pretty poor at keeping in touch with me but to their credit once I phoned them they turned it around very fast.
The grain on that body is simply phenomenal! It would look aces with a semi-transparent colour like Mary Kay White (I think that's what it's called...?) or blonde/butterscotch.
How heavy is the body? I have an ash bodied P-bass, which is as light as a feather (Well, almost. But it's as light as my basswood RI 'stang!). But my ash bodied mustang weighs a ton.
its a single piece of ash, pretty rare to see a single piece of ash, well not really but i like to pretend, it looks pretty anyway,
i still think it would look really cool as a white wash sort of deal where you can still see the grain, but in a tasteful manor.
