Post by robroe »

after like 320948230984 years of playing bass. fender finally gave duff his own bass. its FUCKING 80's as all hell.
haha

painted neck, black tuners pbass body, jbass neck boner town. all it needs is the social distortion martini glass sticker in between the pickups.

Does the Duff version have any different specs than the original Jazz Bass Specials from the 80's? Or is it a straight reissue?

They had a few of those signed in GAK when we went to Brighton, apparently he'd done an instore signing/jam thing. Thank fuck we missed that one.

Looks just like my 80s Tele, I guess it's a modelled on the Contemporary series?

You've been kidnapped by ninjas and they will release you only if you fulfill one of the following tasks.

A: A night of steamy action with Duff man.
Image

B: The no pants dance with whatever this is.
Image

C: Shoot yourself in the face.

If you fail to complete any of the tasks, they will shoot you in the face.

What do you do?

A fine choice. Let's hope he offers a few cold ones beforehand to ease the pain a little.

i bought one of these used (white with black neck) FRETLESS back in '93 when my family migrated from switzerland to costa rica. we made a 3 month stop in houston (to buy cars and stuff them full of new stuff) and there i got it for $250.

well the shipping company screwed us and the cars arrived empty (no stereos, guitar, bass, amps, TV, video, kitchen appliances, etc. etc.) and without tires. so there you have it, my friggin' life's story. :x :x :x

it was a great bass. i miss it.
i don't miss the peavy predator strat-copy i bought with it, though.

look at this way, how many p-basses have a painted neck, NONE, how many p-basses are pickguardless, NONE! besides trhe areodyne.
so all in all its new..... in a really old way.
the more i look at it, the more im confused, i think the banner is making it even more confusing for me.

it's kinda cool looking in an 80's way... but how much is it gonna cost? I've seen the actual 80's ones pop up at music go round and pawn shops for only like $350.
