Bastardized 10-string LP copy.

Post by NickS »

Avon LP copy on eBay.co.uk
Certainly the headstock is able to accomadate the 10 tuners ok, so it looks a little larger than standard; on the other had, four of the tuners are different - your guess is as good as mine!
My guess is he's playing innocent. Quite clearly it's been butchered to produce a cheap chimey guitar.

Yeah, I think the Kokocaster came up on the boards a while back, nice to see a company take up the torch and build a surfcaster clone at that. Shame that it isn't offered with 2 lipsticks anymore though.

The nut on my old Framus acoustic is metal. Wouldn't say it's the greatest sounding guitar ever, but it's a unique sound.

the nut on the tele i made myself is brass.
i can't hear a real difference between brass and bone, but plastic vs anything always sounds dead.
i think zero fret guitars sound really cool.

I have brass nuts. I also have chromed steel on the Mosrites. They are mostly right!

I lobe the inlays on those necks. The pickguard is a little angular, but overall a big winner.

What's worse? Looking like Mel Gibson or having the name Baldy Gay?
