is that a pat pend. tailpiece? that makes this a very early '62. probably a slab board.
if that finish is original, that really is a damn shame.

yeha it looks patent pending to me here is the site i found it at

it also looks as if the hardware was gold plated. look at the neck plate and screws on the trem

That guitar could be restored to be a nice player without too much work. The paint looks good. I'd bet the black could come off the headstock.

man...... that is sad.....
at first i thought it was another 65 that somone modified and painted pink, but knowing it was og shell pink with gold hardware is a truly sad story.

that just makes it worse. why would you leave this guitar like this? much less tout it as some kind of 'rare custom guitar'.

I mean, it is a rare custom guitar... that's been completely fucked over.

thats actually the hood of a car
