i've only had my mustang a week and already my switches are fail and my pickups suck, according to vincel. nice way to rain on my day

IMHO, i love the 65 pickups, and my ears are quite fine without syringing. it's all down to personal taste and i i personally like them.

Steady on old stick: his switches did fail, and he just doesn't like the pickups. Chill yo'delf.

vincel, i'm sorry. i was in a in an angry mood and then i saw the thread and and misinterpreted it. it's not normally like me to be like that. i'm truly sorry. it wasn't fair to take it out on you. you had a valid point.

Now I feel bad because I was joking quite a lot too. Can't we all just be friends?

Don't be daft, Rob. I was taking the piss. Vincel is made of stern stuff, and has weathered the Mikestürm more than once, so can take anything.

well as of now, i don't want to pay out the booty for fralins or duncans. looking at the emg selects because they are cover humbucker bladde pickups that are cheap but supposedly are pretty weakly wound so they sound pretty singlecoily.

but

im actually considering just winding my own. just need to recyclle a busted record player or something.

you can pick up ('scuse the pun) 70s mustang pickups for less than seymour duncans oftentimes. keep your peepers peeled on ebay.
