You could have the switch flip between the knob on the outside and a set internal bias trimpot?

Though it seems a bit redundent, does the the fuzz face do anything interesting when you twist the bias?

It seems like a lot of dicking around to me for not much benefit. Fuzz Faces are generally set up to sound good and then left alone, they are not for tweakers. Generally you run the fuzz flat out and adjust it from your guitar volume.

I figured as much. I'm having a flashback to my old Red Witch Fuzzgod, the 'sputter' control... maybe it wasn't just a bias knob. Went from gated to buttery smooth.

They're definitely very cool pedals. I designed and built the board for Haze's SunFace yesterday.

Unfortunately today I'm feeling ill and won't be going to rehearsal, which means I won't be drilling your cases today Vince, Ends, and Haze. Sorry, I just feel like death and it's an 80 mile round trip, I'll try and get them done this weekend if I feel better.

Indeed. Rest up Mike! I've just gotten over a cold and it was dreadful.

I don't really want to build them anymore since the one I made Proggie is causing issues for him. I wouldn't like that to happen again.

The original design uses BS170 MOSFETs which are sensitive to static. Even with protection diodes in, his has failed twice. I think it is something to do with the Static in his house or something.

How much for the Fuzz Factory clone again? A mate wants one. Also how much more would it cost to add an overall tone control?
